if this goes 7 games they should just suspend all the starters and give us the brent barry/adam morrison showdown we've all been waiting for

THE_REAL_PHIL (Dr. Phil), Sunday, 10 May 2009 21:42 (fifteen years ago) link

artest 0-7 in 3s ??

THE_REAL_PHIL (Dr. Phil), Sunday, 10 May 2009 21:46 (fifteen years ago) link

yeah artest basically threw away game 3 by taking ridiculous jumpers in the last few minutes when houston still had a chance to catch up. the rest of his game is great tho - like he outrebouded pau today!

Nasty British and Short (hmmmm), Sunday, 10 May 2009 22:30 (fifteen years ago) link

lol wtf euphemistic espn headline "pocket rocket explodes"

THE_REAL_PHIL (Dr. Phil), Sunday, 10 May 2009 23:41 (fifteen years ago) link

typical Laker lazy sunday afternoon performance.right from that turnover after the tipoff with Ariza carelessly throwing it away, i knew it was going to be a bad day. It's fucked when you know you can beat pretty much any team if you just play hard but decide not to.

carne asada, Monday, 11 May 2009 00:11 (fifteen years ago) link

not even 6 minutes in and this is one of the worst officiated games yet

schrödinger's googler (agent hibachi), Monday, 11 May 2009 00:21 (fifteen years ago) link

lol how did i know joey crawford was there

schrödinger's googler (agent hibachi), Monday, 11 May 2009 00:21 (fifteen years ago) link

god can't some genius come up with a way to officiate a basketball game? it's been a big problem in several tight series' this year -- seems worse than usual. And it's usually awful! There just has to be something better than this.

a short guy with a lot of power (Clay), Monday, 11 May 2009 00:26 (fifteen years ago) link

add a fourth official so you can have two in the corners and two near midcourt, give the lead ref power to stop and video review any call w/in certain parameters (end of shot clock etc) esp in the playoffs, let joey crawford and bennet salvatore retire. some of the younger guys like zarba seem better, but yeah, it's a hard game to officiate b/c it moves so fast and there are so many things to watch, but it should be better

schrödinger's googler (agent hibachi), Monday, 11 May 2009 00:30 (fifteen years ago) link

i think part of the problem is also that the ref's union is like fuck u guys when it comes to changing things up.

a short guy with a lot of power (Clay), Monday, 11 May 2009 00:57 (fifteen years ago) link

didn't want to be the one to bring up shitty officiating but cosign on the above

THE_REAL_PHIL (Dr. Phil), Monday, 11 May 2009 01:00 (fifteen years ago) link

i don't whats worse tonight the officiating or celtics defense

THE_REAL_PHIL (Dr. Phil), Monday, 11 May 2009 01:02 (fifteen years ago) link

collardio gelatinous, Monday, 11 May 2009 01:45 (fifteen years ago) link

pierce's 4th

collardio gelatinous, Monday, 11 May 2009 01:54 (fifteen years ago) link

I think the best way to solve the referee situation is to give each and every player and coach a whistle. That way if a player or a player's coach feels that the player has been fouled/committed a foul, he may blow the whistle and the appropriate penalty may be assessed.

he had a crazy fluke season last year and now everyone thinks hes good - to the point that the announcers are always like whats up w/turkoglu he needs to step up - whats up w/him is hes playing pretty much like he usually does

ice cr?m, Monday, 11 May 2009 02:19 (fifteen years ago) link
