My loyalties are divided between the Mariners and Orioles, who have a pretty much equal level of futility in my lifetime. Yet somehow when the M's are chasing the wild card I think "what's the fucking point, they'll just get knocked out by the Yankees and it'll be more depressing than if they miss the playoffs altogether," but with the Orioles it's "hell yes, this terrible dumbass team is gonna go all the way!"

Orioles look like a solid bet to make fools of the projection systems once again. PECOTA had them at 74-88. They'd have to go 6-23 the rest of the way to hit that. (Not that this team isn't capable of a 6-23 run...)

Why is Ubaldo still in the rotation when they're allegedly in the hunt?

Yankees 150 runs against the Orioles are the most any team has scored in a season against one opponent in the Expansion Era (since 1961)
