The new album was released here yesterday. Amazing. Tempted on first listens to call it their best. So well recorded. Listening to Al Cisneros' bass is such a joy.

So, gonna finally see these dudes. They're doing a three night stand at the end of the year here in SF; going to the first night as it's 1) cheaper and 2) Grayceon's the opener, and I seem to remember liking a few things by them.

Have never seen Sleep. Saw Om at some point (supporting Sunn O))) [how many brackets?]), who were magnificent. Hopefully, Sleep will tour the UK again at some point.

xpost Yeah really enjoyed Om when I finally saw them about a decade back. Never have seen High on Fire. But at least there's this!

Have seen both Om (twice - including the show Ned was at iirc) and High On Fire - the former more hypnotic and the latter more pummeling/shredding but both were good. Sleep is obviously somewhere in the middle
