i was gonna play a cadaver add-on episode thing that i'd never done before, but it stopped working after the first go.

so in exile, if i've accidentally blown up all three available grenades (due to not knowing the controls) I'm going to have to restart ?

five years pass...

Played Kick Off 2 Final Whistle last night, because I'm a masochist, and decided to play it in player cam mode rather than nearest-to-ball nonsense.

Hard. Played as a forward of course. On the rare occasion somebody passed me the ball it was really weak and I'd just mess it up anyway.

Struggling to understand what the hell I saw in this game, I remember playing it for ever, it's just torture.

I've just tried it! INFURIATING! So I'm strolling along and I see a well with a giant red flashing IN sign. So I go in, and wait for a tedious cutscene message, then descend a ladder. But at the bottom, I can't seem to get off the ladder, let alone go through the door at the bottom. Now of course I'm not quite sure if the controller is mapping everything properly so I spend a few minutes hitting every controller button, mouse button, and key on the keyboard, several times over, all to no avail. Eventually I give up and ascend the ladder, to be greeted at the top by another tedious cutscene message saying "perhaps a key would have been helpful". THANKS A BUNCH.

Then I died shortly after. Still, great music, lovely parallax scrolling (ah those were the days), perhaps I'll give it another go.

Haha that's funny because I just watched this video yesterday of someone having exactly the same problem with the well.

one year passes...

Ever since I read this post about Amiga Disk Format firmware for a USB/Floppy emulator, I've been thinking about getting an Amiga and giving it a shot. Well, I made a reckless eBay purchase yesterday, and will soon have an Amiga 1200 (which I coveted so much when I had an Amiga 600 as a youngster).
