Baby (x11)

I'm So Glad...

I Will Never Find Another Lover
Sweeter Than You
Sweeter Than You
And I Will Never Find Another Lover
More Precious Than You
More Precious Than You
Girl You Are..
Close To Me You're Like My Mother,
Close To Me You're Like My Father,
Close To Me You're Like My Sister,
Close To Me You're Like My Brother
And You Are The Only One My Everything
And For You This Song I Sing....

All My Life
I Prayed For Someone Like You
And I Thank God
That I..That I Finally Found You
All My Life
I Prayed For Someone Like You
And I Hope That You Feel The Same Way Too
Yes, I Pray That You Do Love Me Too

I'd Send You All That I'm Thinking Of........Baby

Said I Promise To Never Fall In Love With A Stranger
You're All I'm Thinking Of
I Praise The Lord Above
For Sending Me Your Love
I Cherish Every Hug
I Really Love You

All My Life (Ohhhh..Baby, Baby)
I Prayed For Someone Like You
And I Thank God
That I...That I Finally Found You
All My Life
I Prayed For Someone Like You
And I Hope That You Feel The Same Way Too
Yes, I Pray That You Do Love Me Too

You're All That I Ever Know,
When You Smile All My Face Always Seems To Glow,
You Turned My Life Around,
You Picked Me Up When I Was Down,
You're All That I've Ever Known,
When You Smile My Face Glows
You Picked Me Up When I Was Down
Say...You're All That I've Ever Known
When You Smile My Face Glows
You Picked Me Up When I Was Down
And I Hope That You
Feel The Same Way Too
Yes, I Pray That You Do Love Me Too

And All My Life
I Prayed For Someone Like You
And I Thank God
That I..That I Finally Found You
All My Life
I Prayed For Someone Like You
Yes, I Pray That You Do Love Me Too

"All My Life" is the most perfect middle-school slow-dance song ever. People who were not eleven years old when that song came out, you missed out.

Authentic 90s nostalgia > pre-packaged 90s nostalgia. I'm rockist about nostalgia, you see.

The Reverend, Monday, 1 October 2007 04:26 (sixteen years ago) link

Fine, there are different things in each of two decades but there's not as large a separation as you can find between the 90s and the 80s or the 80s and the 70s. There's not much to be nostalgic about (That 90s Show--Hey we were in Phoenix for the first Lollapollooza when Trent got mad cause his equipment fritzed in the heat and stormed off stage after one song and Perry and Dave Navarro got in a fight onstage!)

I have no teenaged memories of this decade and therefore am irrelevant.

You could do that for every decade, mulla. That individual shows/trends fit into archetypes doesn't make them any less 'of their time.'

Respectfully I have to disagree. We began seeing the end result of late capitalism at around the time of "Melrose Place" and I can't really see any cahnge since then other than the Jackass/Youtube type personalized degradation.

cahnge = change (or CHANGE!) Sorry to be the bitter old asss on this thread tho!

Remember that "Internet" thing everyone was talking about in the 90s? Whatever happened to that? Was that "Information Superhighway" ever built? I was confused by all the talk about it, were they going to build it in California or something, where that valley of silicon was?
