Sadly I can't find a picture of Prez with soul patch and sensitive world-music fan hat as seen in Singles.

I'm tempted to see the remake of Pelham 123 because Chris Partlow is in it. Is he one of the hijackers?

The ultimate "Burrell" answer here is Coming to America, yes?

nabisco, Friday, 10 July 2009 20:29 (fourteen years ago) link

the newish basic cable procedural "In Plain Sight" has Spiros from S2 in the cast, and Freamon was a guest star one of the first episodes

must say I am finding it difficult to resist urge to make "Sopranos actors in other things" thread (except it would mostly just be Woody Allen and Scorsese movies, probably)

Sleep Causes Cancer (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 10 July 2009 20:45 (fourteen years ago) link

Actually Shakey I think there'd be a decent Hal Hartley contingent for Sopranos!

nabisco, Friday, 10 July 2009 20:46 (fourteen years ago) link

keep your Sopranos talk off my Wire thread!

faucet that ass (sarahel), Friday, 10 July 2009 20:47 (fourteen years ago) link

i almost forgot, i did a blog post once compiling all the rap videos featuring actors from The Wire: http://narrowcast.blogspot.com/2006/08/hip-hoprb-videos-featuring-cast.html

of course, it's almost 3 years old, and the list would be twice as long if i updated it now

for awhile, snoop was like in EVERY GODDAMN VIDEO and almost always next to Rick Ross.
Off topic, but does rick ross just show up in videos unless you dust the stage with salt beforehand? Dude is like the BET Candyman.

xpost: totally floored by the fact that McNulty = Cromwell. At the time of broadcast, I thought the latter performance was just phenomenal, totally believable both in terms of physicality and character, with a figure -arguably, the English Stalin - who could so easily have been played as a pantomime villain.

I've watched the whole of The Wire on DVD over the last three months, and never once twigged that McNulty was the same guy.

saw Barksdale play a SWAT cop on an episode of House not so long ago.
