Now that someone else has done so, I'll choose "Mother Of Pearl" as THEE post-Eno Roxy track.

I bought the first album first and listened to it distractedly. "Sea Breezes" is the first song the really stuck out and made me rewind first the track and then the album. So "Sea Breezes".

Editions of You just ahead of Amazona. They are probably the only band with two songs in my top 20 of all time.

Pyjamarama--one of the definitive Roxy tracks in the whole oeuvre. How I WISH Soto had discussed it in his amazing series of Roxy podcasts...

Just discovering that "Amazona" clip upthread today, and it's amazing!
Never realized Phil's guitar fiff is kind of a variant of "It's Your Thing" by The Isley Brothers.

it's a three-way tie for me between "if there is something" (rawest vocals in the ferry canon), "dream home" and "amazona". so many songs of such a high calibre though.

GARETH!
It's def either Psalm, Mother of Pearl, If There is Something, Virginia Plain, Angel Eyes, More Than This, Editions of You or...

Can't wait for the Roxy Music artists poll coming circa 2014!
This really is impossible, though.

Gotta be "Mother of Pearl"
― frogbs, Thursday, 16 August 2012 18:58 (eleven years ago) link
I think I could get it down to "Virginia Plain" vs. "Mother of Pearl," but those are such differing sides of what I love about Roxy -- chaotic and glammy vs. stately and elegiac -- I cannot choose between the two.
