calypso is the one i can't stop listening to lately. it's like every relaxing activity you can imagine - lying in a park and staring at clouds, people watching in a cafe, taking a train ride, watching the tide go out - combined and condensed into one album.

map have you heard that in full yet? It's gorgeous but with obviously more forward piano which makes it more conventional sounding than a typical Masin record, but still feels very much a part of his universe.

Also must say that Gaussian Curve's The Distance gives me the same romantic-mundane serenity spirit as you described regarding Calypso.

Yeah unless there is more context to their beef I would otherwise assume alcohol or something. But it certainly seems like Greg had already had a major bone to pick with him.

ANYWHO the Masin / Modell collab record is so beautiful maybe let's focus back on that
