it all just goes into the mixer imo - although I do very neat and orderly stripes of ketchup and mustard/mayo down one side. I don't just slosh it on.

Happy Meal toys are the worst. 97% of them are in the trash a day later. Sometimes the same day.
So much waste. I can't decide whether elementary school valentines or Happy Meals are more pointless and sad.

They should do a McRib promotion campaign with Kiss, given the number of comebacks both have had. Actually McDonalds is kind of the Kiss of fast food: you know what you're going to get, it's sort-of OK, but if you think about it too long you wonder why you're doing this to yourself.

This thread in the Australia subreddit the other day was interesting, from a confused american who ordered "a double quarter pounder with only ketchup, mayo, onion, and cheese" and was perplexed when they got precisely that (a bun, with only ketchup, mayo, onion, and cheese in it. No meat).

Apparetly the disconnect partly is, in the US when you say burger you mean the meat in it. When we do, we mean the whole shebang, which is why we will also say "chicken burger" and "fish burger" etc.
Here, all you'd say is "a double quarter pounder without pickles".

That’s idiotic, if the presence of the meat wasn’t implied why would anyone order a *double* quarter pounder? They want to eat twice the nothing?

Yeah thats what everyone said to this guy.

But also a lot of aussies agreed that "with only ketchup, mayo, onion, and cheese" means "and thats it, no meat". I mean you'd think someone'd pause at the "why double quarter pounder" but I dunno. They don't push 'em hard at MacUniversity.

Had a bacon egg & cheese biscuit and hashbrowns last week - not sure if they were worse than they used to be or if it was just the first time I had McDonald's breakfast not hungover.

Maybe the order-taker thought it was *double* ketchup, mayo, onion, and cheese.
― nickn, Monday, 2 October 2023 04:47 (seven months ago) link
why call it a double quarter pounder and not just a half pounder.
― pplains, Monday, 2 October 2023 14:56 (seven months ago) link
because then people might think twice about eating a half pound of poison?
― scott seward, Monday, 2 October 2023 15:12 (seven months ago) link
but knowing people, probably not!
Yeah more poison please

I always admired how arby's circumvented all fractions and simply called their half-pound sandwich the Big Montana.
