One of my buddies from college just purchased a second account so he can have an army of 16 characters all making stuff for each other and helping each other out with cash and equipment. When he told me about this, my first thought was "What a good idea!" because all of my characters are spread out over several servers, so a second account would help me bolster my ranks without having to start over.
