Anyway we went to the fucking pub after the fucking beach and got a fucking pint, I talked to my fucking friends girlfriend and her fucking friend and then fucked off back to the fucking beach after closing time to drink more fucking beer with a few other fuckers I know. I met a fucking girl I fucking fancy only to find I've fucked it up by fucking drunkenly texting her fucking mate who I think is a fucking bore, and now it's like I fucking fancy the mate or something. Fuck that.

On the way home the fucking chipper was closed so I was fucking starving. It was a fucking good night, in the end.

I'm going to happy hour with work people and will probably drunkenly dial at least one ILXor.

Good friend of donut's and myself, Chris Bradbury, is in town for a visit from Austin. A bunch of us are getting together at the Kitsch Bar as a result to have some drinks and laughs and etc.

I have had fun there, for sure, but it seems that I end up in a pit of self-created debauchery simply b/c, and not necessarily consciously, I must compensate for what I feel is Ont sedate behaviour (with a few exceptions, I'm sure, but skeptical still.) Please, Ontario men (and women), go crazier if only to save me from myself. (Example: The one New Year's Eve I spent in Toronto I ended up at a small gathering, then a bigger one, then that big square/icerink downtown. Beginning with wine, then beer, then half a fucking bottle of whiskey, then falling over subway turnstiles, falling up apt stairs, throwing up just outside friend's bathroom (Maria - IT IS OKAY), having five (yes) people guide/carry me down a long set of stairs while I swore a bloody blue streak at them the whole time, somehow put in a cab, and then sat on the sidewalk outside my then-boyfriend's house while he tried to coax me in and OUT OF THE SNOW. While I continued to swear a really garbled bloody blue streak at the world. wtf, Ontario, seriously don't make that happen again.)

ok so this was just my fucking saturday night

coming home after a great night at the pub, walking alongside the manchester ship canal (for those who don't know, it's pretty big)

Sudden massive bangs and horrible sounds of car crash. I looked around and saw flashing lights of some sort's ran back along the canal completely panicked not knowing what had gone on. found a car, a man standing around in shock. The car was amazingly balanced on the end of a large docking concrete block at the side of the canal.

So i was all shouting down asking the bloke if he was alright, he just kept replying "shit i shouldn't be here right now" over again.

looking down at the car, which had all it's lights flashing still. The dude seemed to realise how lucky he'd been - he'd drove straight through the fence of the canal, and somehow stopped before the water. Difficult to describe here, but seriously i still can't understand the physics of his miracle.

so he then climbed up to me and i was trying to tell him that i should call the emergency services. He begged me not to, i suspected he'd been drinking. after realising that nobody had been hurt i thought, well they'll find his car anyway i carried on walking. But he decided to join me, telling me that he lived just down the road.

He then went on to tell me about how he worked at a famous football club and how his girlfriend had left him. and also thanking me for stopping and that if he had gone in the water that i would have tried to save him.
