So, I guess some of the people from the other interweb mentalist hangout may be coming to Glasgow on June 12th then. Who's coming? And should we go to the pub?

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 24 May 2004 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

It would be quite funny if the curse of the Glasgow FAP meant that no one turned up to the Botanics at all.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 24 May 2004 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

poo, would love to come but will be in NYC then :(((( although i'll be in NYC then so yay :))))

ken c (ken c), Monday, 24 May 2004 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

It would be quite funny if the curse of the Glasgow FAP meant that no one turned up to the Botanics at all.

Obviously I will be there, but it is quite likely that I shall end up not actually partaking in drinking action with anyone I don't actually know.

(should explain, btw, that Belle and Sebastian, Camera Obscura and the Trash Can Sinatras, possibly my three favouritest bands in the world, are playing a free gig in the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 24 May 2004 16:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I will be there, as one of my favouritest bands in all the world will be playing that day.

Mooro (Mooro), Monday, 24 May 2004 16:45 (twenty-two years ago)

(this hasn't to do with anything but is in the memory of RJG)

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 24 May 2004 16:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I will be there.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 24 May 2004 17:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I will be there. I'm just about to book accommodation actually. I plan to be in the park and at the Winchester Club later on. I also think a FAP on the Friday night is U&K.

It's two of my fave bands in my case....I regret to say I don't know anything about the Trash Can Sinatras.

MarkH (MarkH), Monday, 24 May 2004 17:47 (twenty-two years ago)

trashcansinatras.com is your friend for this one, I think.

Friday night FAP is definitely the plan - I imagine the Winchester will be the venue for Saturday.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 24 May 2004 17:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I worked work experience with the trash can sinatras' lead singer's father-in-law. he didn't seem too impressed with his son-in-law.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 24 May 2004 17:52 (twenty-two years ago)

He's Eddi Reader's brother you know (from Use Other Fact Please No. 143)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 24 May 2004 17:53 (twenty-two years ago)

do you know a good venue for a Friday night FAP then, Ailsa? Why don't you just pick yr favourite pub (tho somewhere close to Gray Street in Kelvingrove would be nice*)

(* and close to where I'm staying that is. You'll going to tell me it's not nice nice at all now aren't you???)

MarkH (MarkH), Monday, 24 May 2004 17:55 (twenty-two years ago)

The Tap. Scene of many of a cheery night out, and just across the road from Gray Street. Result!

(now we just need people to turn up)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 24 May 2004 17:57 (twenty-two years ago)

The Tap is a rotton pub, but I guess it's cheap and there's lots of room.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 24 May 2004 18:07 (twenty-two years ago)

N. hates fun, this is why he never FAPS.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 24 May 2004 18:14 (twenty-two years ago)

This is a shame, if true. I was looking forward to meeting N.

MarkH (MarkH), Monday, 24 May 2004 18:17 (twenty-two years ago)

This may be a lie. There is nowt wrong with the Tap. It has cheap booze, big sofas two pool tables and a quiz machine.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 24 May 2004 18:20 (twenty-two years ago)

The Tap used to be a great pub, unfortunately it is now fairly foul. However, N's points are valid. And Ailsa's about pool. I will be there, or thereabouts.

If people don't go to the Winchester on the Saturday, I will, of course, kill them.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 24 May 2004 18:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I used to be invincible.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 24 May 2004 18:26 (twenty-two years ago)

A pub is more than the sum of its parts.

Nice holiday, Cook?

'Rotton' is nice - was it ever spelt thus?

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 24 May 2004 18:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I love sam cooke's song about running back to his girl.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 24 May 2004 18:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, it's undignified and great.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 24 May 2004 18:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Look, MarkH wanted a pub near where he is staying. I suggested one. You want to go to the Carnarvon or something? Suggest it then. And I will laugh and go to the Tap anyway. (this last part might not be true)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 24 May 2004 19:03 (twenty-two years ago)

WHY DO OUR LIVES HAVE TO REVOLVE AROUND LAZY MARK HESTER?

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 24 May 2004 19:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Let my people go.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 24 May 2004 19:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd like to go to the Carnarvon, but I don't think I'll be in Glasgow for this :o(

chris (chris), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 07:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Nick, the b-side of a recent Blak Twang single was named "So Rotton". Just so you know.

I won't be in Glasgow for this either, although I entertained the idea briefly.

Tim (Tim), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 07:52 (twenty-two years ago)

with a fine wine and a little dancing?

chris (chris), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 07:54 (twenty-two years ago)

me either, as i will be seeing THAT BAND at both glasto and somerset house and also going to america costs a lot of money (i am dreading my credit card bill) as does buying a house, so i am too poor to go to glasgae :((

i will try glasgow more soon though.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 07:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I will be trying Glasgow, more, from the 10th to the 13th of June, and staying at the Victorian House, on Renfrew St.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 08:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I will be in Scotland from the 11th until the 14th. But in Edinburgh. Hmm.

Dave B (daveb), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 08:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Does the Tap still have an elderly regular who injects drinks into his neck with a big syringe?

caitlin (caitlin), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 08:35 (twenty-two years ago)

can we try football more at some time over this weekend? (the sunday?)

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 09:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Even, over THIS weekend? Certainly, over THAT weekend.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 19:40 (twenty-two years ago)

WHY DO OUR LIVES HAVE TO REVOLVE AROUND LAZY MARK HESTER?

Isn't the Tap actually quite a long way from Gray Street? OK, so Gray Street is near Dumbarton Road, which is where the Tap is, but according to this the postcode is G14 0HH, which puts it a long way up the road....at least a bus ride away.

I went into the Oxford Blackwell today and they didn't have a Glasgow A-Z even tho they had about 6 copies of the Aberdeen one :(. Whilst multimap is good, it's not that good and you can't carry it with you.

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 27 May 2004 08:24 (twenty-two years ago)

That must be a different Tap. The one I am talking about is at the end of Kelvin Way on Sauchiehall Street - the length of a bowling green away from Gray Street.

You can buy a Glasgow A-Z from virtually any newsagent when you get here.

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 28 May 2004 08:42 (twenty-two years ago)

cheers Ailsa! I could so easily have gone to the wrong one.

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 28 May 2004 08:53 (twenty-two years ago)

do they do food?

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 28 May 2004 12:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, it's horrid but cheap.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 28 May 2004 12:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Right, pick another pub. There's too much hate for the Tap on this thread.

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 28 May 2004 12:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry sorry sorry!!! Do not take me seriously. The Tap is a fine suggestion. I just like slagging it off.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 28 May 2004 12:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I never take you seriously :)

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 28 May 2004 12:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm coming to Glasgow on sunday (May 30) for a week, what should I check out while I'm there?

Travis Brady, Friday, 28 May 2004 12:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Evidently not the Tap.

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 28 May 2004 12:20 (twenty-two years ago)

See Things to do in Glasgow when it is your first time there for a start, Travis.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 28 May 2004 12:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks Nick, what is/are The Barra's?

Should I try one of these eggs coated in sausage and deep fried I've heard about?

Any music happenings of note coming up in Glasgow or Edinburgh?

Travis Brady, Friday, 28 May 2004 14:21 (twenty-two years ago)

bump.

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 10:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not sure I'm going to this.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 10:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I think you should Cozen! Even if you don't make it to the Botanics on the Saturday, it'd be very good indeed if you could come to the Tap on Friday evening. I shall be there about 6.30, I think.

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 11:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I am inviting you, cozen.

more room for everyone else.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 11:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I like that.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 11:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not sure.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 11:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Are we definitely going to The Tap on Friday then? It will probably be busy with scummy types and be playing rubbish music. But so be it.

And Cathy says she may be LIVING there! Good Heavenses!

Like RJG says, this is where, Zappy, would come in, handy.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 15:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not sure.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Someone be sure. I never have been.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 19:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I will be at the Tap. Prolly from about 6.30. And I promise not to be too scummy, or play too much rubbish music.

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 06:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Mark, you've promised that before. I'm always disappointed.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 11:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I heard from someone else that the Carnarvon may now be the pub of choice? Is this correct?

Also, the Herald diary today suggested that "cynical types" have creatively come up with the nickname Twee in the Park. I'm not cynical. And I thought of it first. And someone is making T-shirts. Be afraid.

(these "someone"s to whom I refer are the same person).

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 15:48 (twenty-two years ago)

My friend down in London said 'Twee in the Park' to me the other day and I was like 'have you been reading ILE?'.

He said it just seemed the obvious thing to call it.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 15:55 (twenty-two years ago)

OK, I'm in. Like you cared.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I care.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 16:27 (twenty-two years ago)

me too.

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

wait. the tap or the carnarvaron?

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

The Tap. Fuck the Carnarvon.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Fuck you. Fuck everything. I'm staying in.

Actually. No.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 16:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm going to a rival internet FAP on friday, but I'm sure I will see you at some stage over the weekend. like at the Winchester.

DV (dirtyvicar), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 16:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I think cozen should definitely go to the carnavaron.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 17:07 (twenty-two years ago)

You can blame Calumn (note: not Calum/C-man) for the Carnarvon confusion. Should we just stick with the Tap? I don't care. I might not even come.

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 17:12 (twenty-two years ago)

3 rs.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 17:12 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, I misspelled it!!

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

you kill me.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 17:14 (twenty-two years ago)

(I've seen the end.)

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 17:14 (twenty-two years ago)

They do some crappy cover version.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 17:16 (twenty-two years ago)

The Tap! I am definitely going to live there now, but not for a couple of weeks yet. And then I will never have to go to the Carnarvon again.

Cathy (Cathy), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 19:35 (twenty-two years ago)

He said it just seemed the obvious thing to call it.

So why isn't that what it's called, huh? Because THEY NEVER THOUGHT OF IT AND I DID, that's why.

I might not be around to check this tomorrow evening, and I can't get internet access at work. So could someone please text me and tell me what pub you are going to so that I can go somewhere else catch up with you after work on Friday?

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 19:38 (twenty-two years ago)

We're going to the TAP.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

FAP at the TAP!

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 20:30 (twenty-two years ago)

We're stuck the between the veritable rock and hard cock. Scum at The Tap or hundreds of terrifying BOWLIE KIDS at The Carnarvon!

I suppose, TAP is indeed FAP. At least meeting there, then decide on staying or not. KITCHEN'S ARMY! AARGH!

Btw, have fun, DV.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 22:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Oooh - will the Mexican porn star be there?

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 22:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't know what I want, anymore.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 22:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Your Country Needs You.

Mooro (Mooro), Thursday, 10 June 2004 08:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Me and JJ will be there in the park on Saturday...who will come and greet me with a mighty gehsrei???

racheeeee (racheeeee), Thursday, 10 June 2004 09:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm going to the the gig at the botanics but i'll be hotfooting it back to Edinburgh when it finishes.

leigh (leigh), Thursday, 10 June 2004 10:27 (twenty-two years ago)

A lot of my favourite girls are going to be in Glasgow this weekend.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 10 June 2004 11:29 (twenty-two years ago)

A lot of my favourite girls are going to be in Glasgow this weekend.

This is also true for me.

Mooro (Mooro), Thursday, 10 June 2004 11:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I lot of my favourite girls are always in Glasgow.

Sadly, they never let me near them.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 10 June 2004 11:56 (twenty-two years ago)

u r so dumped.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 10 June 2004 12:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't like girls.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 10 June 2004 12:43 (twenty-two years ago)

My favourite RJG is going to be in Glasgow this weekend.

Mooro (Mooro), Thursday, 10 June 2004 14:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I might not be around to check this tomorrow evening

OK, I have no mates, and am around. Tap it is? What time? (I have to phone Mark H and tell him where to go)

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 10 June 2004 16:00 (twenty-two years ago)

(not in a rude way, you understand)

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 10 June 2004 16:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno - what time is the football?

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 10 June 2004 16:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Saturday. Is this not about tomorrow night?

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 10 June 2004 16:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh - whoops! I thought this was about meeting before the park thing. I dunno then.

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 10 June 2004 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Twat. Hester will be there from 6.30, he says, so any time after that.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Are we calling him Twat. Hester now?

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

That's what I read it like too. But I expect no more of Cook than petty insult.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Expect no more of me.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I lied. Is this the most insane weather day or wot?

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:19 (twenty-two years ago)

The Sky weathermen have christened it "CRAZY DAY".

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't believe you.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, well perhaps it's not so insane. What happened, anyway? It was cloudy, then it was sunny, then it rained heavily now it's cloudy again. That's Glasgow for you, no?

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 10 June 2004 17:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Hello! Sally and Arantxa are in town. A is still bonkers. I will be at the Tap later than 6.30 because I want to go home and shower and change and water my plants first.

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 11 June 2004 12:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I have an architectural commitment, tonight.

I won't be with you, until 8 or 8:30 or 9 or 9:30 or 10.

RJG (RJG), Friday, 11 June 2004 13:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I think I might give the park a miss. but I'll see you lot at the winchester.

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 12 June 2004 12:36 (twenty-two years ago)

have you got your ticket?

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 12 June 2004 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

nice try.

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 12 June 2004 12:39 (twenty-two years ago)

What time is everyone heading over? I am still having pain passing urine.

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 12 June 2004 12:41 (twenty-two years ago)

have you got your dick out?

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 12 June 2004 12:42 (twenty-two years ago)

No, not right now. Is this cybersex?

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 12 June 2004 12:43 (twenty-two years ago)

NICE TRY.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 12 June 2004 12:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Glasgow managed a proper FAP on Friday! Those present and (mostly) correct were:

me
AllyC
Madchen
RJG
Cathy
N.
Cozen
Lixi
Jerry the Nipper
Mark H
Mooro & Mooro Jr
Arantxa

Apologies for absence received from Lara.

Hurrah (for the whole thing, not for Lara's non-attendance)! Much fun and Big Brother watching was had by all. Some other stuff happened on Saturday, but I missed most of it by being in the pub watching my fantasy football league go down the tubes.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 13 June 2004 11:25 (twenty-two years ago)

What about the rest of Twee in the Park?

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Monday, 14 June 2004 17:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Rotton.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 14 June 2004 18:38 (twenty-two years ago)

this is not the standard of Reporting Back we have come to expect. please try more, glasgow.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Monday, 14 June 2004 20:11 (twenty-two years ago)

OK. I missed all bands that weren't B&S due to urgent and key Greece v Portugal action so someone else can fill you in on that.

People sat in the sun and drank booze and the police didn't care, and best of all the portaloos weren't smelly.

Belle and Sebastian played some songs which included I Fought In A War, Judy and the Dream of Horses, The Boy with the Arab Strap, Dog on Wheels, Jonathan David, The Model, Lazy Line Painter Jane (with Monica in a pair of horrible green socks), Love on the March, I'm a Cuckoo, Step Into My Office Baby and Sleep the Clock Around.
They were very good. I didn't see anyone off here in the park except Cozen who was the only person I didn't think would be there. Damn the football and a park full of people for meaning me and the mister ended up sitting on our own. People then went to the Winchester Club and Gav played "I Could Be So Good For You" and Cook played Beyonce. It were top fun. I'm not convinced by Pipas though everyone else I know seems to think they're great.

Cathy's non-stop dancing skillz are awesome, btw. I, on the other hand, was knackered after about two songs, though I did shake my thang to Strawberry Switchblade.

Apologies for being an antisocial git to all and sundry on Saturday night, but I was uber-knackered and had a lovely comfy seat right in front of the electric fans.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 14 June 2004 20:20 (twenty-two years ago)

that's more like it :)

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Monday, 14 June 2004 20:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry for crappy rotton quip.

Camera Obscura were hot and fresh.

The Trashcan Sinatras were a bit eggy. Eddi's brother had that crumpled romantic look down, but the bassist looked like Uncle of Frankenstein and the drummer was surely the Cowdenbeath manager? Flanked by two health and safety inspector guitarists. The songs were a bit dreary too. One for the fans.

Belle & Sebastian were great, but Murdoch is surely more of a prat than he used to be? At first I thought wee Patrick had wangled his way on stage, but then I remembered it was his dad Stevie Jackson. I cried a bit but no one saw.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 14 June 2004 20:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Perhaps Murdoch has got more prattish.

Why was Cozen not at The Winchester?

Dreary?! Huh.

Pipas = Terrible. Genius.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 14 June 2004 22:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I am gutted that I missed the Trash Can Sinatras. But I am one of "the fans" - Madchen also reported them as not very good. I require proper Trash Can Sinatras reporting back from someone who likes them.

(If I hadn't been being anti-social on Saturday, I guess I could have spoken to some other people and asked)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 14 June 2004 22:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sorry Ailsa, but the Trashcans failed to impress me either, apart from maybe a couple of songs. You said that they had witty lyrics, but I struggled to hear the lyrics, so was unable to appreciate them.

I was also rather rattled by the fact that the sets were of such disproportionate length - Camera Obscura were so great and should have been allowed to play for much longer - there was no Eighties Fan, which was disappointing.

Also, V Twin = the Scottish INXS.

I was a *bit* antisocial in the Winchester Club - sorry to anyone I didn't speak to. It was very hot in therre, so I only stirred from my seat for short periods of time. I too was impressed by Cathy's non-stop dancing - where does she find the energy?

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 06:56 (twenty-two years ago)

she eats a lot.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 07:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I quite liked Pipas overall, but preferred Language of Flowers.

When I arrived at the Winchester, someone was playing The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats, which I love (and never expected to hear).

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 07:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Thank you, Reporters Back.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 08:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 08:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Gosh, that is rather big.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 08:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I still hate my profile. And that photo makes my chin look like Monica Queen's.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Also, the object of my mirth is hidden, making me look kind of deranged.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Count yourself lucky that I didn't post the pic where you look really deranged. I may yet.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:30 (twenty-two years ago)

mirth???

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:32 (twenty-two years ago)

post it.

I look hot.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:35 (twenty-two years ago)

That's me laughing, I think. Perhaps I am hard to read.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:36 (twenty-two years ago)

if you are laughing, N., then Cathy is going "I don't think that's funny at all".

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Cathy is psyching (and fattening) herself up for her dance marathon.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:38 (twenty-two years ago)

"only 100 more packets of crisps to go....."

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:56 (twenty-two years ago)

red cross came to rescue after excessive drinking at glasgow FAP

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:59 (twenty-two years ago)

"I had two pints, once."

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:59 (twenty-two years ago)

it's not like Treacle to try and duck out of the photo like that.

chris (chris), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I do not like that photo at all. I look like cornish-faced Patrick Marber with worse hair.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:02 (twenty-two years ago)

mousey.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:03 (twenty-two years ago)

"one more for my okcupid portfolio."

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:03 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not sodding mousey. The light has just caught it. Also, JtN's camera is rubbish.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:07 (twenty-two years ago)

"i like big butts and i cannot lie"

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:08 (twenty-two years ago)

frankenstein's brother-in-law.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:08 (twenty-two years ago)

i also like how RJG's head seems to emergy from the top of N's

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:09 (twenty-two years ago)

like the top of a tank

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:09 (twenty-two years ago)

'Ooooh, grapple me grapenuts!'

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:17 (twenty-two years ago)

was cathy licking the crisp packet?

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:20 (twenty-two years ago)

"you look ridiculous."

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:20 (twenty-two years ago)

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I come unstuck as a supposed football fan when I try to envisage formations. Maybe it's my generally poor spatial reasoning capacity to blame. What formation were Italy playing?

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I am watching Patsy Kensit on Call My Bluff.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I hope you're proud of yourself.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 10:51 (twenty-two years ago)

"So I got hold of that slag Geri & I told her, right, *I'm* going to be the biggest star after we break up"

Mooro (Mooro), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 11:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I am not sure that N. is capable of looking bad.

He should not worry, on that score.

the junefox, Tuesday, 15 June 2004 18:03 (twenty-two years ago)

That's very sweet, but you're demented.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 18:05 (twenty-two years ago)

(more pictures of Cathy stuffing her face with crisps please)

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 18:06 (twenty-two years ago)

"wankered."

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 12:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm off tennis.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 12:16 (twenty-two years ago)

hahaha!

could that have come out better?

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 12:36 (twenty-two years ago)

V-Twin were awful. I like the trashcan sinatras but the music kind of got lost in that environment.

We were stuck near the herb gardens, surrounded by an assortment of neds and small children.

leigh (leigh), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 13:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I forgot about the Ass Invader thing. Great photo, Nipper!

And yes, like you said, it does look photo-shopped.

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)
