First of all, if you men out there have never checked out a girl that was dressed up like a grown woman, you're either gay or a liar(and I originally assumed Obama was both). I think if you look at the comments that accompany the photos through most of 2008 and 2009, the tone is very different--veneration would be overstating it, but that great hopefulness or whatever you want to call it is still there. ("'Obama and the 1st Family' should be a new Cartoon Network show where they are all superheroes"..."A wonderful, actually happening in front of you version of Saturn"..."That photo makes me warm inside"--there are others.) You still get the part of the story that I think some people have either forgotten, or were never much interested in in the first place.
