even though I'm technically the middle of three, my half-sister is like 14 years older than I am and went off to college before I had any usable memories, so I feel more like the eldest of two

my brother is so close to my age we fraternize a lot, which I think was/is cool...we run in a lot of the same circles too.

2 younger sisters, 12 year gap between me and the youngest. they are both way cooler than me.

like reddening, I greatly appreciate the world of young ppl that the youngest brings.

OTM, my youngest brother (10 years younger than me) will tell me stories about waiting table at Pizza Hut while on ecstasy and it makes my heart warm.

My friend Tom is the youngest of seven, and his oldest brother is 26 years older than he is. It was weird when we were in our twenties knowing his brother was already over 50 (and now he's in his sixties).

Yeah JF one of my close friends is the youngest of several mucholder sibs (she's 41, theyre in their 50s at least? maybe 60s?). Sadly 2 have passed away. Her parents seem like grandparents to me, theyre well into their 80s but they're awesome cool.

Went to high school with dude who founded Razorfish, who is the youngest of seven siblings. His oldest brother was friends with my mom and graduated with her in 1962, from the very same high school.

that's the same situation my dad (father of the 9 year old) grew up in; second oldest out of 14; his younger brother, my Uncle Joe, was three years old when I was born

my gf has half-siblings who were much much older / grew up as another family. it'd be strange if they called each other sister. but my mother's little (half) brother grew up with her and her sister and the fact that he's a half-brother almost never comes up...never thought of him as a half-uncle.

Whenever my half-brother said something smart-aleck back when he was a teenager, I'd say, "You see, that's the Yankee in ya mouthing off."
