I always liked these; and since we haven't done it for so long, I think it's time for a revival, especially since I thought up a pretty cool game to accompany it! You know the basics: Post a cover that has an obvious visual (or verbal) connection to the previous one. First person who can complete the circle by connecting to the very first one - by visual OR personnel link - wins!

A few rules (my game!): 1. Except for the win, connections based solely on an individual (eg. Nirvana/Foo Fighters) are NOT permitted. 2. The same performer can't appear twice in a row. 3. Obvious parodies/tributes ("Sgt. Pepper's" dozen takeoffs) are NOT permitted to link with one another. 4. Only ONE cover per post, please!

Finally, I'd appreciate keeping the images fairly small, like 300 X 300 pixels or less (makes it load faster!)

Hmmm. I don't think it actually is an homage. I mean, Rivers C. grew up as a big metal fan. Weezer don't sound like they've picked up anything from the Feelies either. I think it's a coincidence, personally. I could be wrong, of course.
