important: #6 should be "Keep in mind, what you're going to rap about and keep writing everything that runs through it on something, if your on a bus, paper or your hand will work just fine, a book would be nice too."

Admittedly it's easy to take the piss out of Wikihowtos, but most musicians when asked the question "how do you actually write your music?" would probably say something incomprehensible like "oh I just skibly-bo-diddly-diddly-do"
