rrrobyn, the situation (rrrobyn), Thursday, 28 September 2006 14:25 (nineteen years ago)

You know, Kevin, instead of promising yourself to every/anyone who offers you the smallest creature comforts, you could stock your own fridge with bacon and go to bed before 2am once in a while so you can enjoy brekky at home and not go to work starving & hungover. I'm just sayin': living well is totally within your reach.

Laurel (Laurel), Thursday, 28 September 2006 14:26 (nineteen years ago)

Laurel (Laurel), Thursday, 28 September 2006 15:56 (nineteen years ago)

In my experiance, all girls like the summer and always complain that it's too cold and all boys are always hot and sweaty and hate the heat. Though maybe that's just because I'm a fatso with a thyroid problem.

I think Jorel and i are probably similar in many ways.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Thursday, 28 September 2006 15:59 (nineteen years ago)

dan selzer you are otm. i don't like to make male-female stereotypes usually, but the two that i stand by are that teh ladies love the chocolate and can't stand the cold.

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 28 September 2006 16:00 (nineteen years ago)

seriously, I learned this in 10th grade when I had my first serious, umm, sleepover with a lady friend (visiting! I'd met her in camp!). I was lying in front of a fan, she was under the covers with a glass of tea. The current ladyfriend is always cold and is always having to point the AC vents away from her in the car.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Thursday, 28 September 2006 16:02 (nineteen years ago)

dan, you should go on a low-ish carb diet - they are good for thyroid issues, i have read

the cold is fine if active/moving and wearing the right clothes and there is a warm place to return to.

rrrobyn, the situation (rrrobyn), Thursday, 28 September 2006 16:03 (nineteen years ago)

For the record, I am shvitzing all the time and leaving windows open in January (although there are a few exceptions such as when I haven't eaten all day and am out of fuel to burn, or maybe underdressed for weather in the cause of girly-ness). This is often a problem for boyfriends who want to sleep UNDER the covers while I am throwing them off the bed.

Laurel (Laurel), Thursday, 28 September 2006 16:03 (nineteen years ago)

low car? it doesn't help that I'm allergic to wheat. In any case, I've lately treated my body like a garbage can, but all that will change, starting....NOW.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Thursday, 28 September 2006 16:04 (nineteen years ago)

True, Kev, but it's not so hard to tell the difference between, say, an argument for social justice/equality and a rant about people who walk REALLY SLOWLY on subway platforms. I used to go out with someone who thought I was an over-critical bitch for having rants and yelling things at people on the TV. He was all, "isn't it more important to be nice to people?" which, TSCHAA AS IF.
