I made a simple request for a post to be deleted. It was denied anonymously with the single word "no" and the thread was locked. I started a new thread, a charming dogpile of mods and posters made a series of irrelevant and taunting posts, and then the thread was locked by jjusten who threatening informed me not to ask again. This is, quite frankly, bullshit, and I assume is strictly due to bad feeling left over from the Martin thread (and I assure you that feeling is mutual).

I want one post, which at the time I requested deletion had not been responded to, deleted. Then I want to walk away from all of ILX forever.

Why do you want that bland post deleted?

There's absolutely no reason to request a boring post, with no rule-breaking or personally threatening information be deleted just because you feel like it. No mods or other posters signed on to a contract you apparently specified off-board. I don't see why you feel the mods are being dickish. If they allowed deletion of any post anyone requested, with no real purpose, it'd undermine the system.

Hi TWU, I don't know any of the backstory here, but if you accidentally broke your promise not to post on ILE, then just let the mistake happen and move on. If the promise was to others and not just yourself, I think they'll forgive an inadvertent and wholly innocuous post.

i really don't think it's about you? ilx does not have a lot of moderators, and as such it's always been pretty clear that mods will clean up accidentally posted government names within posts, delete stuff that's actively actionable, sometimes edit thread titles on poll posts, but historically - esp since ilx2 - they have not had a lot of time for people saying "i posted something that i regret, will you make it so i never did that".
