should i just assume, the red L.E.D.s were added digitally? or did Kode-9 stand still while the camera "jerked" in a deliberate way to get the motion effect of the LEDs - assuming a wall of red LEDs was put together with a convenient Kode-9 shaped gap in the middle.

i guess you could have a long shutter speed, move the camera for the led streaks, then fire a flash high from the left with a snoot or something. but it's probably be easier/neater done digitally, idk.
