does karl henry play perfect blind through balls to the opposition on purpose or what

every single game

if we could just trick him into thinking he's playing for the other side every week it'd be like signing pirlo

r|t|c, Saturday, 31 August 2013 11:44 (eleven years ago) link

if he's kicking it forward at all he's added a new string to his bow

RAWK of Agger's (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 31 August 2013 11:46 (eleven years ago) link

honest to god we had fans who thought he'd had an off-season instead of being perhaps the most technically lacking player ever to get time in the Prem

bewildering lapses (and v v meagre remit) aside he's verged on competent tbf

lack of b2b support with him and barton both a-cloggin is what's made every one of our games a scrappy grind

Sako not even on the bench today. Mayhap the move to Forest is still on, on the quiet. i expect moaning from the moron wing of our fans (it's a big wing) but he looks eminently replaceable to me, especially on Champo wages.

I used to be a Celtic fan. Not after today! What a day.

talkSPORTDrive ‏@talkSPORTDrive 19m
Darren Ferguson said Celtic made a bid for Lee Tomlin DURING the Posh game today. Stay classy Celtic.

talkSPORTDrive ‏@talkSPORTDrive 12m
Celtic bid for Tomlin made during the game, not sure when Posh saw it. But the player's agent would have known. And Tomlin subbed at HT.

haha kevin lisbie is qpr's kevin lisbie

but seriously - you must have a former youth striker who frustrated all who saw him and is now stodgily eating up the lower leagues

Blimey, this Tomlin chap's a bit on the big-boned side, assuming GIS isn't lying to me. Time to dust down the Mark Yardley comparisons.

ailsa, Saturday, 31 August 2013 17:51 (eleven years ago) link

xp erm... not to my recollection i don't think! our youth system has been pony for decades

angelo balanta, antonio german, richard pacquette i spose but none were really laden with high hopes and so it proved

little scott donnelly was v well regarded but i think he's fucked his career completely now by the looks of it

oh maybe dj campbell...

Watford boss Gianfranco Zola was stunned to see his side's unbeaten start to the season ended by Blackpool, saying: "I cannot believe we lost the game.

"Actually I can, it happened last season a few times."

Can't fault D'Mac's transfer policy at Peterborough, it is a good model for league clubs. But what a bell-end/timeshare crook type dick he is.

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Saturday, 31 August 2013 18:56 (eleven years ago) link

I kind of wish someone with as little class as D Mac would hide it.

michaellambert, Saturday, 31 August 2013 22:22 (eleven years ago) link

I really do feel for Jack Hunt. He gets itchy feet when the club turns down an offer from Swansea in the last Jan transfer window. He finally gets a far less sexier suitor in Palace for a summer move, but it is still the Prem yeah? Then he falls awkwardly in his first training session at Palace and breaks his ankle.

“I’ve had my hair like this for nearly a year now,” said Golbourne, who has seen three of his four league encounters against Swindon end in 0-0 draws, the other finishing 1-1.

“It’s a cut from the early 90s. I’m quite big on that era – Jodeci, Bobby Brown and De La Soul.

“There were a few R ’n’ B and hip hop groups around at the time and that’s the sort of music I’m into, from when I was a kid watching MTV.

“I thought that was a style I’d like to bring back, something a little different.

“A few fans have said they like the hair so it’s gone down quite well so far.”

alright son you can stop angling after my new favourite player status now

Bless Scotty, he really does run up and down quite a lot.

You're familiar the tumblr operated by Scott and his girlfriend, I assume? http://wefly2gether.tumblr.com/ I think that's it.

so good

Ismael Klata, Friday, 13 September 2013 10:51 (eleven years ago) link

He's cool; he's pretty good, too. He used to get called "Gollum" by Exeter fans, which I always assumed was something to do with trying to say "Golbourne" in fat fruity Debm accent, but also made a certain sense in the context of his rather scampering gait.

Tim, Friday, 13 September 2013 10:56 (eleven years ago) link

he seemed like he'd been brought in as a squad player at first but tbh Sam Ricketts hasn't been convincing at left back yet and Sako is going to either get found out or have a big slump so Golbourne cd well play a big part this season down the left wing
