Bob Djukic is someone who for some unbelievable and unknown reason gets tons and tons and tons of money for his records on ebay -- there are various theories as to why including his lavish descriptions, huge number of auctions going up at once, and potential shill-bidding conspiracy theories. my pet theory is that his customers are all wealthy russians.

yeah that guy is unreal. some people really do have rabid followings though. not as extreme as that guy mostly. but there are people who swear by certain sellers and will pay way more for their stuff. those regular first pressing prices are ridinkulous though. crazy people prices.

like those Love albums. i wouldn't get anywhere near those prices if i put the same copies up.

don't even ask me about the sealed jesus christ superstar. that defies all logic and sense.

what do you think a good price would be for an original (US) XTC gig poster from 1980? 50 bucks?

also some fliers: 9:30 club 1985, Wax Museum (DC) 1982, PIL 1982, "new wave night" 1980, ramones 1985, and a couple of mimeo zines?

The XTC poster is printed on glossy cardstock (one color) but I was thinking about $5 each for the fliers since they are basically photocopies

what's a good price for an original VU & Nico LP (stereo) -- banana is intact (just a cut right under the stem) -- plays VG (crackly)?

$50? $60? then look for a clean bananaless copy, sell the bananaless cover w the VG record for $20 or something, and BAM you gotta tight keeper copy.

i cannot find this info on da internet. at first i just assumed it was orig cuz i didn't realize a bootleg existed. but now i think it's prob the bootleg. but i have no idea.

what about these 4 lomax ballad hunter library of congress records i have. do i just slap 20 bucks on them or should i ebay? none for sale on ebay which is a good sign.

those ballad hunter records are rare but i don't think they're particularly desirable.. i bought my complete set for $50.

ended up cracking the seal on the bare knuckles LP. inner sleeve and label both giveaways that it's the reissue. oh well.

seems fair to me! i think i paid around $20 for mine. great record.

yeah but i have never seen either -- i just can't imagine walking away from anthems in eden regardless of price or reissue status. would buy in an instant!! it's one of my favorites.

Yknow speaking of price checks, I just came upon a copy of an Early Music Consort of London record (w David Munrow) that was still shrink wrapped and priced at $2?! It's Pleasures of the Royal Court. Whaaaaa?

that's not terribly underpriced, really. there are a lot of 'early music' records out there and not too many people collecting that stuff. you can get tons of similar stuff on the Music Heritage Society label for just a few bucks.
