hey let's do trivia monday! i'm gonna email some ppl.

in the few days I was in town I saw ACT's production of Tom Stoppard's Rock'n'Roll, which I would heartily recommend to all.

oh, i saw a poster for that and was thinking about it! thanks for the tip.

i also saw that they are hiring a marketing person but apps are closed. of all my searching how did i miss the job appropriate to my experience/education/interests!?

Phone them up anyway for a chat - your experience entitles you to do things like that.

HEEEEY everyone. So I was about 70% going to Seattle to see a boy, and that plan has been smothered with a pillow in its sleep. So my schedule is wide open. Anyone want to go to the Saturday night installation of the Em City Soul Club?

how much is it? i am poor. but i would like soul, and going places, because i go nowhere these days.

If people are looking for something fun and free tonight, i'm going to be mixing up a bunch of great music at Grey Gallery on 11th between Pike and Pine. Music starts at 8:30 or 9pm. Variety of genre's, great art, comfy seats.

I highly recommend Emerald City Soul Club.

I think it's $10 -- T, I'll be delighted to cover you, cos you are putting me up and I owe you a few! You know I'm a bad conversationalist when there's dancing, though -- somebody else better come for T to talk to.

So yeah, anyway, my schedule is now wide open. ECSC at least on Saturday, possibly Fri if anyone wants to (it's their weekender: 3 days in a row). I'm not letting some jerk put me off Northern Soul.

I am going to need some back-up, though. :/

the_higgs and Morley Timmons have been known to frequent ECSC, as did the rev before he left the state.

and yes, you should meet the higgs and morley, esp the higgs as she has also been known to frequent football (soccer) bars for early saturday morning overseas matches!

oh also i have a new friend who is britishes and likes to watch soccer, maybe he'd be up for something but i don't know if releasing 3000 ilxors on him at once would be too scary!

ECSC: Can do Friday (or Thursday)

Thursday ECSC is a meet-and-greet for the DJs and scenesters, as it turns out, and I'm not rly inclined. Could do Fri or Sat. I don't care, I don't have to work!

Don't think there's any Britishes soccers that weekend, they must be on break for something else. Was a good idea, though!

The non-veg soups planned are posole (pork-hominy-sweet onion-chipotle) and shallot-bacon-potato. The veg soups will probably be sweet corn chowder and pumpkin-carrot-ginger.
