The threat of castration, represented by Woman's lack, is essential to subject formation, and Beavis is clearly outside of this system. Not only does his reflection tell him Bjork has a "schlong," but when he and Butthead watch another video, which features a (supposedly) nude woman in a bathtub, Butthead expresses the hope that the woman will stand up, revealing her body to them. Beavis thinks that she will not, speculating that "she's embarrassed because she has a stiffie." Butthead attempts to explain that women cannot get erections, but the existence of humans without penises is unimaginable to Beavis.

When watching Dee-Lite's "Groove is in the Heart," the moment Bootsy Collins appears, they both scream, "BOOTSY!"

Beavis: [gasp!] [gasp!] I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendancies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Laurie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -

What the hell song was it that they are watching that goes (I think) "I love you, dot, dot, dot," with the word "dot" appearing on the screen? It's driving me crazy trying to remember. And searching for the lyrics "dot, dot, dot" is not helping b/c now there is apparently a band by that name.

That might be the one where they say "This is college rock b/c it has words. I hate words. If I wanted to read, I'd go to school."

"pop song 89" is what's playing when beavis hates on text in videos. "twiggy twiggy" by pizzicato 5 is the only other video shown on b & b i can think of w/text. nether one has the "dot dot dot" thing, though.
