tbh anybro who lets his friend cheat on his wife with 13 chicks without saying anything is not really a bro worth having

Hes no bro, he's an employee hired to maximize his employer's abilities on the golf course. Period.

i wasnt even talking about his caddie, the worst human being ever to be from new zealand, but instead about his bros

The caddy is a red herring anyway. Tiger is close friends with Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan! Two complete sleazeballs!

After looking at the list of Tiger's mistresses, I think the first thing I'd do if I happened to be Tiger's wife is get tested for VD.

― max, Wednesday, 9 December 2009 22:30 (fourteen years ago) link
the thing is...plenty of famous beloved guys are sleazy womanizers, if they're open about it. his mistake was trying to be the wholesome all-American role model if his heart wasn't in it and he'd rather just be a rich playboy (which, I guess he wouldn't be AS big a deal if that had been his image all along, but he'd still be a hugely successful athlete). the only part that makes him a scumbag to me instead of just a dumbass is that he brought a couple children in the world with this woman he apparently didn't give much of a shit about.

Williams hasn't actually been fired, right? That's just Reilly's stoopid advice?
I saw this at ESPN -- "Edwards' advice" -- and was all OMGWTF, how did they get John or Elizabeth to comment on this?! But it turns out it was Herm Edwards. Good bait & switch!

OTM. Given the way he portrayed himself, it's much harder now for him to pivot toward a less pious celebrity aura.
He could do it, though. It would be like he's a good-guy pro-wrestler that all-of-a-sudden becomes an evil bad-guy.

actually i guess he's only been married for like 5 years huh. so he was almost 30 and had been famous for almost a decade by then, surely he knew enough about himself at that point to maybe have an inkling that monogamy wasn't his bag? i never heard about him dating anyone or being regarded as an eligible bachelor before that, surely he was banging waitresses and shit before he got married too?

i assume many dudes who cheat, even at this volume, also desire to have a wife and family.
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 9 December 2009 22:55 (fourteen years ago) link
i think that comes from dudes who really truly give in to the belief that this is just how men are, and sure hey they love their wives but sometimes you just gotta yknow get a little something on the side, it doesn't mean they don't love their wives any less. (though it kinda does)

It's not for that reason at all. It's because he's a golfer. If you play golf, you endorse the sort of products that appeal to the golf market, like SAPs and insurance companies and other rich people things. If you are a football player you endorse trucks and soda and etc.
