I'm most like the lurkers. I don't know personal details of anyone here.

L'Histoire d'Eric H. (Eric H.), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 21:13 (nineteen years ago) link

Ned and I both have dozens of illegitimate children scattered throughout eastern Europe.

O you fukkerers you wtf! Tut, tut, tut.

"I ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE..."

donut debonair (donut), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 21:17 (nineteen years ago) link

I recently discovered (and even though I was a huge fan of his at the time) that Tim Ellison and I attended University together! Very funny and great in retrospect. He also mentioned that I (unknowingly) probably saw his band play more than a few times.

gygax! (gygax!), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 21:22 (nineteen years ago) link

I will probably not reveal myself very often. Like a locust.
NOT FAIR! I don't know what I'm missing!

In other news, are there any other weather buffs around here? I think Ned is.

Ian Riese-Moraine's all but an ark-lark! (Eastern Mantra), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 21:30 (nineteen years ago) link

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 22:03 (nineteen years ago) link

I was trying to figure out someone to mention in this thread, but I can't! I guess I'm too weird or something. ;)

Eep! I forgot to mention geography! There's a reason why I went to the State Geography Bee twice (and would've gone a third time easily had I not purposefully sabotaged myself, but that's another story).

Ian Riese-Moraine's all but an ark-lark! (Eastern Mantra), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 22:36 (nineteen years ago) link

donut, i didn't know you were part greek! you look it.

"Toast and jam."

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 23:04 (nineteen years ago) link

corny indie fuxxors with MFAs

bnw (bnw), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 23:09 (nineteen years ago) link

I was going to mention that me and ken c both:

a) like talking about poo.
b) get excited about videogames.
c) want a fight.

But then I realised that's probably true of 75% of all men.

JimD (JimD), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 23:15 (nineteen years ago) link

Haha, good ol' Pickles.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 23:33 (nineteen years ago) link

The dog that found the Jules Rimet Cup?

Ken L (Ken L), Thursday, 2 June 2005 00:19 (nineteen years ago) link

OMIGOD IAN I TOO AM A STATE GEOGRAPHY BEE FINALIST. This thread is gold.

And wow, bnw, there's something about that picture that's a little, I dunno, "I was very nervous about approaching Ray Charles, but he was happy to pose for this snapshot."

nabiscothingy (nory), Thursday, 2 June 2005 00:31 (nineteen years ago) link

I am impressed. I salute your geographic genius.

I'm sure there are as many differences as similarities here though. It only really came to mind when Anna mentioned it once.

-- Matt DC

I'd forgotten I said that until now. It's a compliment. I'm extremely fond of both of you.

Anna (Anna), Thursday, 2 June 2005 14:05 (nineteen years ago) link

fuck a geography bee

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 2 June 2005 14:40 (nineteen years ago) link

I shared a bed with Haikunym in a dream. We spooned.

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 2 June 2005 14:45 (nineteen years ago) link

stevem and I share the exact same birthday.

n/a (Nick A.), Thursday, 2 June 2005 15:21 (nineteen years ago) link

There was a time when I would have said Aaron Zanders. Now I guess I say Latebloomer. Similar part of globe, non-drivers, similar musical taste, similar fun-making of others at Autechre show, similar sense of humor.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Thursday, 2 June 2005 15:23 (nineteen years ago) link

No one spings to mind, perhaps I don't know enough about my fellow ilxers to say. Or perhaps I didn't really think hard enough, that's probably the case.

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 2 June 2005 15:59 (nineteen years ago) link

Hey, finally mentioned in one of these "name the ILXOR" threads! Thanks, Eisbar.

mike a, Thursday, 2 June 2005 18:34 (nineteen years ago) link

I share Middlesex County roots with Maria (though I'm about a decade older than her) - she's from Metuchen, I'm from Monroe.

mike a, Thursday, 2 June 2005 18:35 (nineteen years ago) link

I'm like no one at all!

Gear! (can Jung shill it, Mu?) (Gear!), Thursday, 2 June 2005 18:35 (nineteen years ago) link

Gear, out musical tastes are very similar. That's not very odd though.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Thursday, 2 June 2005 18:43 (nineteen years ago) link

I shared a bed with Haikunym in a dream. We spooned.

:O

Haikunym (Haikunym), Thursday, 2 June 2005 18:45 (nineteen years ago) link

actually we've got a lot of strange similarities, roxy. we both have flying cars! : D

Gear! (can Jung shill it, Mu?) (Gear!), Thursday, 2 June 2005 18:51 (nineteen years ago) link

I know it's just music, but i have EXACTLY the same taste in music as Sir Raggett.

Richard K (Richard K), Thursday, 2 June 2005 19:34 (nineteen years ago) link

Teeny and I have a few things in common when it comes to our families.

Je4nne ƒur¥ (Je4nne Fury), Thursday, 2 June 2005 19:39 (nineteen years ago) link

Me and Jess were actually grown in the same tube

miccio (miccio), Thursday, 2 June 2005 19:45 (nineteen years ago) link

Really Je4nne? Identical?

Ken L (Ken L), Thursday, 2 June 2005 19:50 (nineteen years ago) link

me and gunther heartymeal are really, really, like, common-like

1. We have 99% of the same genes
2. We both grew up in Greeley, CO
3. We both like saying "grodey"

That's where the SIMILARITIES END

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Thursday, 2 June 2005 21:02 (nineteen years ago) link

i have to agree with roxymuzak. she/me/we/are teh awesome!

latebloomer: Pain Don't Hurt (latebloomer), Thursday, 2 June 2005 21:37 (nineteen years ago) link

I know it's just music, but i have EXACTLY the same taste in music as Sir Raggett.

One of us. Or one of me. If you will.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 2 June 2005 21:40 (nineteen years ago) link

Me & Ned Raggett were nearly called Seth.

Teh HoBB (the pirate king), Thursday, 2 June 2005 21:50 (nineteen years ago) link

Okay, long shot here: Who in here is a half-Spanish, half-Mexican twentysomething from the Southwest quadrant of the U.S. who is hugely enamored of '80s New Wave & New Romantic music and styles, who does crossword puzzles for fun, who has really long hair, an olive complexion, a love for Wheat Thins and Diet Coke with Lime, who loves watching programs about food, who's Catholic, and who is pretty much a homebody?

The Kind and Benevolent Oracle of Dee (Dee the Lurker), Friday, 3 June 2005 00:05 (nineteen years ago) link

who does crossword puzzles for fun

Is there another reason for doing them?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 3 June 2005 00:08 (nineteen years ago) link

I do them to keep myself from going senile, and it's not working.

Rock Hardy (Rock Hardy), Friday, 3 June 2005 00:11 (nineteen years ago) link

No, but there are other things to do for fun.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 3 June 2005 00:16 (nineteen years ago) link

Is there another reason for doing them?

I meant "for fun" to mean "as a hobby", i.e. hey, this is a major fun-making hobby of mine when I have enough time to actually have a hobby. You know, instead of doing something *else* as a hobby. i.e. what Andrew said (many thousands of thanks, Andrew).

The Kind and Benevolent Oracle of Dee (Dee the Lurker), Friday, 3 June 2005 00:24 (nineteen years ago) link

Fuck. I must find someone who lived in Miami, loves the Go-Betweens, and enjoys Quaker Oats.

Alfred Soto (Alfred Soto), Friday, 3 June 2005 00:34 (nineteen years ago) link

I am increasingly and almost entirely convinced that Alex in Doncaster and I are the same person, as have the exact same taste in nearly everything and eerily similar biographical details and both live in boring industrial towns away from anything exciting.

edward o (edwardo), Friday, 3 June 2005 00:36 (nineteen years ago) link

and loves hall & oates -- don't forget THAT one, mr. soto!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Friday, 3 June 2005 00:37 (nineteen years ago) link

"and loves hall & oates -- don't forget THAT one, mr. soto!"

Aha! The circle tightens!

Alfred Soto (Alfred Soto), Friday, 3 June 2005 00:38 (nineteen years ago) link

I am unique.
