April becoming Ron's assistant is an awesome alliance I did not see coming. Maybe its because she's playing such an apathetic/dry character, but Aubrey Plaza's facial expressions have been killing me the past couple episodes.

it kinda makes sense tho, there was that episode where she helps him with his hernia.

what about andy's song "talking about singing about what i talk about"

Aziz Ansari interviewed:

In the last episode of "Parks," Tom showed a softer side, spilling his guts to Leslie about his divorce. Was that difficult for you?

Not at all. I've been messaging a guy on Facebook that claims he is Daniel Day-Lewis. I think he's really Daniel and he's been getting back to me, telling me how to get emotional. He says to frown and look down a lot. So I tried a lot of that. I think it turned out pretty good.

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 17 January 2010 19:21 (fourteen years ago) link

Aziz just killed it on his Comedy Central special.

dan selzer, Monday, 18 January 2010 04:54 (fourteen years ago) link

Oh good, it comes on again at 1am. I forgot all about it.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 18 January 2010 04:57 (fourteen years ago) link

mage pit laceration (gbx), Wednesday, 20 January 2010 01:10 (fourteen years ago) link

is this "intimate moments for a sensual evening"? or something newer?

richie aprile (rockapads), Wednesday, 20 January 2010 02:24 (fourteen years ago) link

Yeah, intimate moments...Comedy Central said it was new? It was aired twice...an hour long version with bleeps and cuts then later a longer version with curses and I think more material.

dan selzer, Wednesday, 20 January 2010 02:32 (fourteen years ago) link

andy is so good

I think the best thing P&R did in its second season was make Leslie less like Michael Scott. Not that she can't be awkward, but she's not criminally inept.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 29 January 2010 02:02 (fourteen years ago) link

The scene with Andy's Squirrel/Backpack line might be my favorite of the season so far, especially because it seems April can barely keep a straight face while he is saying it.

Michael F Gill, Friday, 29 January 2010 03:26 (fourteen years ago) link

a bit weirded out about april and andy's budding love...how old is April supposed to be?

dan selzer, Friday, 29 January 2010 06:29 (fourteen years ago) link

she's just finished college; internship's over. I always thought andy seemed to young for quincy jones jr.

forksclovetofu, Friday, 29 January 2010 06:37 (fourteen years ago) link

I thought she was a high school student with a summer job or something!

dan selzer, Friday, 29 January 2010 06:45 (fourteen years ago) link

April got busted for underage drinking last season, so she's probably 19-20.

Yeah, she does seem too young for him, but it slightly balances out by him being an idiot. In real life, though, the actors are only five years apart.

@KenTremendous Parks and Recreation, a TV show I work for, got picked up for Season 3 today. Thanks to everyone who watches and supports us. Good times!

The ghost of DJ Roomba following Jerry playing Black Eyed Peas on a loop was rad.

is poehler even in this show anymore? i feel like every episode i see she's in it less.

Robert Altbro (some dude), Sunday, 7 February 2010 17:38 (fourteen years ago) link

The last few episodes have had A-stories pretty prominently about her (Christmas scandal, hooking up with Will Arnett and then Justin Thoreau w/the diner party). But maybe the B-stories have gotten a lot of time, more than these shows usually give?

Nhex, Sunday, 7 February 2010 20:42 (fourteen years ago) link

I think midseason is when they focus on the B stories, and the A story is usually ramped up at the beginning and end of a season.

Andy's band actually being pretty good at playing for old people is a wonderful development.

tbh i think i cld watch a whole show of rashida jones playfully/politely receiving gifts

johnny crunch, Friday, 12 February 2010 02:22 (fourteen years ago) link

i don't want a lot more plot-only episodes but every once in awhile it's good to shake up the status quo
this is light years ahead of the office now btw
