I remember back in the day my best friend used to mock Heather Smalls of M People because she had such a wide mouth, but I always found her hot. (He made fun of the singer from 2 Non Blondes, I'm not sure what he had against large mouths.)

I can't remember making any distinction between non-white and white hotness back in the early 90s when I was a teenager, but most of my crush objects were musicians/singers, and all I listened to back then was dance music, which tended to be multi-racial. I guess mainstream television and movies were more white back then though? The few movie/TV crushes I remember having in the early 90s (Winona Ryder, Janine Turner) were pretty much white. The first time I remember really fancying a black woman in a movie was Angela Bassett in Strange Days.
