SUPER PUZZLE FIGHTER! SECONDED!

Lynskey (Lynskey), Sunday, 4 January 2004 01:39 (twenty years ago) link

Fifa 2000.

Don't buy any of those Olympics games that just involve hitting the buttons as fast as possible.

Micro Machines

Berkeley / Sackett (calstars), Sunday, 4 January 2004 06:10 (twenty years ago) link

racing games:
Rage Racer, the best Ridge Racer variant ever!
Wipeout 2097 and Wip3out.
Colin McRae Rally (& the sequel, 2.0)
Micro Machines V3
any of the TOCA Touring Car games

not racing games:
ISS series (any of 'em)
Vib Ribbon (the awesome puzzle game where you put any of your CDs into the Playstation and it randomly generates a course for you to negotiate with your... wireframe rabbit)
Street Fighter Alpha 3
Metal Gear Solid

good call on Rage racer - that's a winner, I played that for ages when I first got my PS2.

There's a really god tank game too, called Panzer something or other and is oneof the most atmospheric games I've ever played.

Wipeout 2097 is Wipeout XL in the states.

If you like platform/collecting games, the Crash and Spyro series are without equal.

FF7, Metal Gear, the first Tomb Raider seconded. I played through Resident Evil 2 over christmas: it still hold up pretty well.

Tico: I thought Harvest Moon was the most evil game ever made. Which is not to say that it was bad at what it did, just that what it did was cause me to spend hours accomplishing nothing! Er, a different quality of nothing than every other game, that is.
