it's when you get a package from your local sex toy shop called "The Canadarm" that you have no reccollection of ordering that you need to worry.

My band-/room-mate ordered a set of tabla from some guy in India one extremely drunken Saturday night. I don't know what kind of shipping he paid but we were both like "whaaaa?" when we found them on the porch Tuesday morning.

I may be jumping the gun here, but I declare Nick's bandmate the winner.

I always have tons of shit in my Amazon shopping cart (most of it in the "save for later" area), because that way you get a little notice every time you go to your cart telling you what items have changed in price recently.

Important Messages
Please note that the price of The Complete In a Silent Way Sessions has decreased from $49.98 to $44.99 since you placed it in your Shopping Cart. Items in your cart will always reflect the most recent price displayed on their product detail pages.

this was 25 bucks a few weeks ago, so mad I didn't pull the trigger on that one

I was pretty happy when Phil Manzanera's "Diamond Head" CD arrived in the mail last week. I don't remember ordering it but I sure did want it, so I couldn't complain.

Bimble, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 18:30 (sixteen years ago) link

one month passes...

Black Hole's Land of Mystery arrived recently. It kinda fits in with my musical curio tastes: Amateurish, theatrical "metal" that's almost so badly produced as to be worthy of attention for that alone. It's not very good, otherwise, and it's not something I would have ordered sober. I'm 99% sure ILM is to blame, but I have no recollection of why or where.

I vaaaaaguely recall seeing a pic of the album cover on some thread. That's probably what pushed me over into $$$, 'cause it makes a Slayer cover look like Michelangelo.
