Only in the 1990s could a punk-pop band as appallingly fucking awful as The Offspring make it big.

Still haven't seen much difference here from the oughts. Dawson's = OC,etc. X-Files = Lost (or whatever.) Funny clothes = Funny clothes. Hyped NYC rappers = Hyped Southern Rappers. Bush = Nickleback. Kids = Havoc. '00s is just the '90s continued.

I miss all the colourful, baggy rave and hip-hop clothes of the early nineties. Wearing XXXL sized orange pants was fun. Also, I miss the fact that back then all the cool teen girls could wear the same baggy clothes as guys did, and they didn't have to bare their boobs and bums. Whatever happened to unisex style?

I guess I am stuck in the 90's, because I played that game last night. I know it came out in... what... 1995?... but it's too classic not to play.

sort of, but the oklahoma bombing didn't lead to two wars with foreign countries and america losing huge amounts of respect internationally. i think there has definitely been a change in the tone and content of pop culture after 11/9 and iraq, but maybe not as much as after the fall of the berlin wall.

well, it was used as an excuse. i don't can't even decide whether it was an inside job or not. i think it was a far bigger deal internationally than oklahoma, nobody in the uk really talked about mcveigh even a week after it happened, it was seen as an isolated case.

This shooting-star part of logos was an essential part of the 1990s.
Believing that Bush and Gore were basically interchangable was very, very 1990s.

I actually saw a guy wearing a big Dr. Seuss hat covered with alien head icons on Saturday. If he had been driving a teal green American sedan it would have pretty much summed up the mid 90's for me.
