there was a tall guy at the store today, who had a very cute face. he was gay. he ordered 5 bagels and 3/4 pounds of cream cheese, with chopped onions and tomatos on the side. i really wanted him to kiss me, and tell me that he couldn't live without me. but it felt a little awkward, standing there in line for our bagels. i let the moment pass and left, secure in the knowledge that there are other tall boys in store for me. something to look forward to.

so my boyfriend is leaving town for a week, which means imma be on my own. well, the cat and i.

he leaves tomorrow morning. on my first day sans man, i'll be doing brunch and shopping with my best boy ben. he's a veritable doll, and he likes brunch as a social thing. i'm excited to get new jeans, myself

heading out for some drunken karaoke after an afternoon of board games. not really giving a damn about cute boys this weekend (for once) kind of a relief, tbh. they were out in droves at the coffeeshop all week, starting their med school rotations and being all coyly flirtatious...but it's been a weekend of board games and reading and cooking with friends - forgot how much i needed to recharge my batteries until i got the opportunity. have a wondrous evening, boys. spring is here and things are looking up.

2nite is the 2 year anniversary of the first time i came out

i never really thought about this until just now but i came out january 2001 - i don't remember the exact day, but wow, nine years?

it's actually not the exact day, but the same weekend, so i'm just pretending like it's the same day

So old. Came out the summer of '98 and probably could/should've done so a year or two earlier.
