This Saturday, March 27th BUTT will be participating in the 2nd annual Rainbow Book Fair in New York City at CUNY (365 5th Avenue at 34th St) from 11 – 5:30PM. We’ll be selling back issues of BUTT to help fill in your collection, along with the remaining stock of the BUTT 2010 Calendar at a discounted rate. We’ll also be conducting ONE QUESTION INTERVIEWS as a special bonus to encourage our fans and readers to come out and support the fair and all the other zines and booksellers in attendance. Questions from previous BUTT interviews will be placed in a bowl at random, and anyone who comes by will get the chance to pick a question at random and answer it, with the results appearing here on the blog. i just want to go on record saying that steve is a fucking champ for rolling along with the colorful cast of characters on saturday's drinking marathon. it was a bit much even for me, and some of those folks are my friends!

70+ºF here in Chicago. Spent a few hours in the park by my house reading. Trying to meet up this weekend with a guy who messaged me on OKC because I said I liked Pierre Boulez.

Yeah, I wish I'd gotten a better Q for that BUTT thing but oh well. I got to meet 4dam B4ran who is the head NY dude and more or less does the magazine these days, which was rad, and picked up the most amazing word search book with all these hilarious/awesome word lists (NYC CLUBS '80S TO PRESENT, ASIAN PEEPS, STAGE NAMES, etc).

Also, I just want to go on the record saying elmo has some v interesting (-in-a-good-way) friends and the trip was well worth it. All my favoritest nights always seem to end after the sun comes up anyhow.

You guys I'm going on a lolkcupid date on Thurs and it's sort of my first ACTUAL date and I'm waaay nervous. I am overpsyching myself up so so much! Gah. I hope it goes OK.

what zackly happened after Metropolitan?

steve, jon, & i met up with (my host for that evening) g4be at a bar in greenpoint where this girl br00ke was throwing her birthday party (i MAY have met her once, maybe twice before, but she greeted my as though we had been long lost. she was... intense.) a few friends from my nyu days were there, but otherwise nothing crazy happening. jon bailed after about an hour or so. i got a hand stamp from the b-day girl & thus free beers all night. closed the bar, then somehow managed to arrive at br00ke's place w/ like 6 additional ppl in tow at around 4am. was there until around 6ish. the last i saw steve he was to be escorted to the nearest subway stop by j0e (who is also... very intense).
