HI DERE, Wednesday, 21 April 2010 17:12 (sixteen years ago)

those are great

kate78, Wednesday, 21 April 2010 17:21 (sixteen years ago)

ugh John Mulaney is so terrible on camera, they better not be thinking about putting him in the cast or something

Sidibe was fun but man did she blow a lot of lines/cues

surmudgeon (some dude), Sunday, 25 April 2010 05:01 (sixteen years ago)

she was not funny at all. couldn't even nail the doorbell sketch which was easy pickings.

bnw, Sunday, 25 April 2010 05:09 (sixteen years ago)

pretty bad show, esp mgmt

jeff, Sunday, 25 April 2010 05:34 (sixteen years ago)

i thought she was pretty funny -- my fav sketches were steve harvey, stoop sketch & bill hader's gay dude on weekend update

i thought john mulaney was p good

nabisco infiltrator (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 25 April 2010 05:35 (sixteen years ago)

yeah I enjoyed the steve Harvey sketch

jeff, Sunday, 25 April 2010 05:36 (sixteen years ago)

scott seward, Sunday, 25 April 2010 06:05 (sixteen years ago)

Jack Human (kenan), Sunday, 25 April 2010 14:44 (sixteen years ago)

lonely island dudes running out of ideas or scrambling when the host said she didn't want to do an ironic rap song

surmudgeon (some dude), Sunday, 25 April 2010 15:36 (sixteen years ago)

nabisco infiltrator (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 25 April 2010 16:02 (sixteen years ago)

the one mgmt peformance i saw was a hot mess, is that supposed be a song?

mama's boy otis, i'm one of a kind (M@tt He1ges0n), Sunday, 25 April 2010 16:20 (sixteen years ago)

Which did you see? The Brian Eno one?

Mordy, Sunday, 25 April 2010 16:23 (sixteen years ago)

the one mgmt peformance i saw was a hot mess, is that supposed be a song band people like?

surmudgeon (some dude), Sunday, 25 April 2010 18:23 (sixteen years ago)

I think most people aren't as into the new album. That said, I liked the Brian Eno performance. (Didn't like the first performance tho.)

Mordy, Sunday, 25 April 2010 18:26 (sixteen years ago)

I liked both performances. I like the new album, but I haven't listened to it enough yet. I really loved the first one. The big trendy hits and the weird psyche stuff. I don't know if people are supposed to like them, they were hyped because 3 of the songs from the first album(and e.p.) were really catchy and merged a bunch of different trends and there's all this invented controversy about the new album not having such obvious hits, so yeah, it's funny that they're playing this stuff on SNL, and relatively mainstream radio (Matt Pinfield...), but I doubt this album will be the party jam of the summer.

dan selzer, Monday, 26 April 2010 03:37 (sixteen years ago)

controversy isn't really invented so much as a straight-up - this album is a disappointment - i think. "Brian Eno" is catchy though

Nhex, Monday, 26 April 2010 03:51 (sixteen years ago)

I don't know, I think Flash Delirium is great. It's just not the anthem the past hits were. I'm not totally sold by their whole "we're really into obscure 80 psyche bands" or whatever because I think most of the first album isn't much different and it's something I like. I liked it when Jennifer Gentle did it (similarly acid-drenched syd-damaged post-indie rock neo-psych or whatever) and I like it here.

dan selzer, Monday, 26 April 2010 04:04 (sixteen years ago)

wtf was that cherry spitting stuff?

That was the only part of the episode I liked.

no turkey unless it's a club sandwich (polyphonic), Monday, 26 April 2010 06:57 (sixteen years ago)

Thing is, it was kind of awesome. I'm just wondering, wtf WAS it?

Jack Human (kenan), Monday, 26 April 2010 07:54 (sixteen years ago)

I mean, was it a prody or something? Some phenomenon? Some culture? Anything at all? It can't have been nothing.

Jack Human (kenan), Monday, 26 April 2010 07:55 (sixteen years ago)

I mean, I have never seen anyone put on a Mace Windu costume and spit cherries.

Jack Human (kenan), Monday, 26 April 2010 07:56 (sixteen years ago)

iron chef

altered dominant (get bent), Monday, 26 April 2010 07:58 (sixteen years ago)

Jack Human (kenan), Monday, 26 April 2010 08:33 (sixteen years ago)

I felt it must have been Japanese.

Jack Human (kenan), Monday, 26 April 2010 08:34 (sixteen years ago)

see to me it just felt like a retread of the "extreme challenges" digital short with samberg & wiig doing a bunch of bizarre competitions

surmudgeon (some dude), Monday, 26 April 2010 10:11 (sixteen years ago)

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 9 May 2010 03:43 (sixteen years ago)

J0rdan S., Sunday, 9 May 2010 04:12 (sixteen years ago)

They're letting him go on and on. Fantastic.

Pazuzu's petals (kenan), Sunday, 9 May 2010 04:13 (sixteen years ago)

J0rdan S., Sunday, 9 May 2010 04:13 (sixteen years ago)

Holy shit.

Mordy, Sunday, 9 May 2010 04:13 (sixteen years ago)

They don't even let U2 go on this long.

Mordy, Sunday, 9 May 2010 04:13 (sixteen years ago)

Ok yeah, that was hot.

Pazuzu's petals (kenan), Sunday, 9 May 2010 04:16 (sixteen years ago)

i hope jay-z buys NBC and replaces all their shows w/ a loop of his live performances

J0rdan S., Sunday, 9 May 2010 04:17 (sixteen years ago)
