in what world is a column named "culture vulture" not obviously about "trashy" celeb gossip? you may have realized this had you read the entire column title, which is, again, "culture vulture." as in, a vulture of culture. picking at the garbage, etc.

half of the gossip mags report that she's being very bad - sneaking around to do it w/ another patient, being rude and demanding, and refusing to clean toilets. other half are running photos of her hiking/reading the big book and saying that she's doing very well adjusting to a tough regimen.
