I think this is the silliest celebrity controversy I have ever read.

Fascinating. That the public is stupid enough to base their buying decisions on some celeb using the product, that companies are cynical enough to exploit this by giving away this kind of freebies (only valid when the actual celeb is present), that the Lohan mom used it instead of her daughters, that she got it back from the cops, that people commenting on the story actually go "never heard of your company before but now I'm going to buy your stuff" solely based on this. Social psychologists and public relations gurus could write dissertations and howto books about this one story alone.

Replace 'cynical' with 'smart' if you think it fits better btw. Equally valid imho.
