I actually went out to a gay night tonight. It was mostly full of dykes and bears, tho. Ugh. I have a bandana silk-screened with an image of Grace Jones and the words "MENZ ROOM" to show for it, so not a total loss. I was disappointed to see that it was red after I left and not orange as it looked in the club. Makes it a bit more complex for me to wear.

And just simply not the color I wanted. It's still awesome tho. I'll post a pic when I can.

Let's just appreciate the strangeness of this, shall we? It's a message/ad/who knows what from the LCBO which is the gov't-run chain of Liquor stores in Ontario (you can't sell hard liquor in normal stores in Ontario) that recently started making the rounds (in I presume print ads or something?).

i enjoyed it, nice mixture of gays and lesbians which i feel like i never see here (scales tipped increasingly toward the latter as the night went on). i'll be stopping by again today to see if anyone found my lol tote bag, not sure i'll stay for the pinups thing tho

I either go bagless or hold onto mine like a boytoy.

I remove anything valuable or important from my bag before I go out and then don't worry much about it.

i refuse to believe that someone took it, seeing as these are gay librarians and there was a library book in my bag and we all of us know that incurring fines on lost books is way NAGL, but this also wouldn't be the first time this happened to me :(

These things look like such a blast when you look at photos and then when you get there you realize everyone is already talking to somebody else. How do I shot gay bar?

h8 it when people steal your bag. it's happened to me a couple of times in pubs when i tipsily chuck it over with a pile of coats and bags, get drunk and mingle and move around and then suddenly realise it's not there. never anything properly valuable in it except fucking GLASSES, which are so damn expensive to replace, so the thieves wouldn't even benefit.

it's much worse for girls who all keep shit like purses, cash, keys, ipods in their bags by default tho.

Took some friends to Ikea yesterday and it took us about an hour just to get out of Chicago with all the Puerto Rico Day madness. Also, I got sick of not having shorts and made some cutoffs!

Well, I spent 2 hrs at Folsom East. I had no idea the subs-on-a-leash had such sophisticated doggie masks now.

Wish I could've gone! Guys I'm getting more and more frustrated with "gay pride"/whatever the fuck gay is supposed to mean to heteros/etc. I think I'm going to join the Gay Shame movement.

I had tons of fun last year.

And I never get to do anything gay anymore, cause no gay friends, etc. Friday, I went to a gay club for the second time in the almost a year I've been here.

i've never been to any pride. the london one clashes with the wimbledon women's final every year. i mean, getting excited about women's tennis is pretty gay already, so i like to think i'm still doing my bit.
