I sympathize: I have so little of it that I'm meticulous with the preparation. Then some guy comes along and treats it like Caesar salad.

Have had it more or less buzzed for the last five years and haven't looked back.

I've never wanted a tattoo but a friend got one of a Caravaggio painting and it kinda blew my mind.

As someone who's had the industrial but took it out: it is a very painful thing to have done to you. Also if you enjoy wearing non-earbud headphones it will be irritating.

I have two tattoos, they are embarrassing because it was silly being 18, but I still want more. Never liked piercings though.

tbh my personal reluctance to get ink is pretty bound up in my weird body-image issues. like, i'm not really confident enough in my body to decorate it for public display. but someday it will happen.

(i know i know: a gay with body issues, how very novel.)

My main problem w/ getting more tats is that the one(s) I want to get, I know are totally embarrassing, and maybe I'm too old/self-conscious now for that sort of thing.

I have a pavlovian association with tattoos because of how many guys in porn have them (usually bad ones), so if I were to ever get one I would have to become more frank than I am now about being "sexy".

Yeah, the exhibitionism angle is def a major deterrent for me and getting a tat, as well. But maybe a little less so these days than it was in my 20s. More and more approaching the age of just don't give a fuck.

I'm in my mid thirties and am not the sort of person who enjoys calling attention to himself, unless it's for my sunny good looks.

i want a tat so bad but the permanence wd freak me the fuck out. i'm sure i would have many a moment of staring into the mirror and bawling.

I am perfect as is.

I kind of accept the fact that my good looks are in a clean-cut kind of way, and I will never successfully be able to pull off any other kind of good looks and I am fine with that.

i like the design too but it is legible as an image, or on the curve of your body? it seems quite confusing but maybe that's part of the whole thing, i don't know. maybe you want something mysterious but graphic? in that case, yes!
