I was going to dinner or something by myself once and I told her it was a party of three--me, myself and I. And she thought it was the funniest thing ever and whenever I do things on my own she always makes a joke about "the three of you"

I got lunch alone at this very good and very inexpensive vegan Chinese place in Philly yesterday, and that was nice. But the cute hardcore boy in the Bad Brains shirt sitting a few tables away made the whole thing a bit nicer. I mean there's a difference between that and then, like, going to Applebees and sitting in a booth by yourself staring at the empty seat in front of you.

if i ever ate at applebees alone i would kill myself

or get 10 of those margarita cocktails they have, and die

i have eaten at two different applebees in nyc :x

I mean going into a "sit-down" kind of restaurant, I hate it. It's even worse when you're the only person there during their off period but are too embarrassed to leave.

Going to Applebees with other people is bad enough, but if you're going alone, why are you going there and not somewhere with real food?

Now that I think of it I have eaten by myself quite a few times, esp when I had my internship in NYC and I wanted good vegan food. I mean it's nice to just sit and contemplate and really savor what you're eating without having to, like, talk about how your weekend was between bites.
