So Canadians call Smarties "Rockets"?

What is a Lion bar called in America, because that's what I really want and I don't think anyone sells them here.

The US Smarties are made in Canada!

and sold to the Middle East

Did they ever find Saddam's stockpiles of Smarties, by the way?

Peanuts (Peanuts), Monday, 1 November 2004 16:10 (nineteen years ago) link

They were raided by insurgents. Chocalate candies (or are they compressed sugar) is in the hands of the enemy.

Meanwhile, apparently Charmes http://thm-b.search.vip.re2.yahoo.com/image/707069940 are considered bad luck by marines, and they toss them out the window when they find them in their MREs. True story.

Judging from a brief google, Twix seems to be the U.S. counterpart to the Lion Bar.

what about 5alive? in america it's called FAAAHHHHHHHHHVE ALLAAAAHHHHHHVE

SEE THE INCLUSION OF "ALLAH" IN THE NAME!!! IT'S A POISON MADE BY THE MUSLIMS TO CORRUPT THE MINDS OF THE PEOPLE OF JUSTICE!

Twix is only half of what a Lion bar is. Twix does not have the crunchy cereal (like a 100 grand) and the wafers are wrong. 100 grand is closer, but no wafer.

We have Twix over here in the U of K, it's very different to a Lion bar.

The thing you call Smarties and rockets - do we call them Swizzlers or something?

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 1 November 2004 16:18 (nineteen years ago) link

Switzers + Twizzlers = Swizzlers. Red licorice.

dave225 (Dave225), Monday, 1 November 2004 16:20 (nineteen years ago) link

are they not refreshers?

ken c (ken c), Monday, 1 November 2004 16:30 (nineteen years ago) link

And of course over here we have Refreshers AND Refresher Bars!

Chewshabadoo (Chewshabadoo), Monday, 1 November 2004 16:47 (nineteen years ago) link

at the Trick or Vote event last night, we got Smarties with "Rock the Vote" written on the packaging...
