Watched some bands at a loft party, got an awesome drunk haircut from my friend Ke4ton and then went with a bunch of fags to a radical queer dance party, where I (naturally) managed to find, dance with and spend the night hitting on the ONE flirtatiously coy straight guy in the entire place.

Hot anarchist who apparently is straight but sleep with the occasional guy if they are sufficiently politically radical. I do not qualify. Heh.

But Er1c (the boy I met at the Beach House/R0byn/Arcade Fire concert) is back in town from NYC and we will hopefully hang out sometime this weekend.

Was going to go out but fell asleep soon as I got home from work.

I'm in the same boat. But also staying in my room/indoors is driving me batty.

A friend asked if I wanted to do karaoke and I was supposed to meet up with this one guy tonight, but at the moment the thought of doing either makes me ill. Even if there's no cover at the karaoke bar I KNOW they'll want to do something else and I won't be able to because I have no money — and thinking about this has just lead to a train of negative thoughts: I'm already 23 and I haven't even gone to college and I expect to study music and be a composer? Who the fuck am I kidding? I just feel like slamming my head against a wall.

tonight i chatted with a dude on grindr, who then proceeded to drive here from about half an hour away to pick me up so we could do *whatever*. he picked me up in front of my town's movie theater (where i ran into my little brother and his friends, looool). i got into his car, and he asked me what i wanted to do. i told him i was actually uncomfortable about the whole situation and that i didn't want to do anything. i got out of the car. he drove home (presumably). i walked to the nearby wine shop before it closed to buy myself a bottle. i've drunk about half of it.

i think my major problem is just the idea that sex is all that's going to pass between us. this sounds like some kinda hippie ish but i like when sex arises organically out of my talking/connecting with someone. like i'm vibing with a guy and it leads to other stuff. situations like what happened last night by contrast seem so...forced. i'm just not into sex with strangers as a way to relieve our mutual boredom. (not that i've not done it before and won't ever again.)

I've never had anyone, what's the word, misrepresent themselves. When I started doing this via AOL in the late nineties it was a constant fear but it never arose. Part of my success was insisting on meeting in a bar first so I always had the option of ignoring him. Luckily it never rose to an impeachable offense -- the crime that is; can't speak for my dick.
