I spent Saturday in Key West -- swam, got a nice tan, ate great seafood. I must have been the only gay man on the island though. Maybe the locals lock the doors on long weekends?

I am here waiting for a message from my date the other night. We're supposed to meet up tonight.

Naked bike ride was soooo much fun. Well over a thousand people. Also saw erol alkan and boys noize last night which was p amazing as well

and yes I am holding a cigarette- I don't smoke, but i have a new policy in my crusade to help my boyfriend quit smoking- the new rule is, if he gets to smoke then I do too- and he *hates* seeing me smoke- so everytime his willpower crumbles and he starts to smoke, there I am right there with him smoking, and it usually prompts him to throw away his cigarettes in "what was I thinking?" kind of gesture.

now that I've blathered on, let me ask y'all if you think this might help him quit . Is this:

1) helpful aversion therapy that reinforces his resolve to quit
2) just weird
3) not likely to work
4) mean and torturing somebody who's already struggling with something

or some combination of 2 and 3 or 4?

The deal: he's generally on the patch, but he's been on the patch for 15 years and now when he drinks he winds up taking off the patch and smoking too, and he says he hates that he does that and wants to stop . . .

don't make this a poll, just weigh in as you see fit

i'm leaning toward 3? but I am not licensed.

i think it's a good strategy as long u don't cave in with him ;)

yeah, the risk is that I get hooked while trying to teach somebody else a lesson- but I find cigarettes so nauseating/gross that I don't think it's going to happen- he knows it makes me wanna hurl
