it kills me whenever jason sudekis does that leap into frame for "What's Up With That?"

some o))) (Whiney G. Weingarten), Monday, 4 October 2010 13:52 (fifteen years ago)

Oh absolutely! It is really ridiculous how funny that sketch is considering how stupid it really is.

THE CHOMPING DUCK GETS HIS FATTY OUT FOR VADAR (HI DERE), Monday, 4 October 2010 14:05 (fifteen years ago)

the theme song stays in my head for days.

That is usually my favorite part of that sketch.

My brother's theory re: the genesis of "What's Up With That?" is that Kenan saw Jason dancing at a cast afterparty and was like "we have to create a sketch to showcase this man's talents"

Wydin Out dude is proving himself to be this year's Jenny Slate

the great finnish ball-licking kids (Whiney G. Weingarten), Monday, 4 October 2010 17:51 (fifteen years ago)

do you mean "underappreciated genius" or "obsequiously awkward performer whose only funny bit would be just as funny coming from anybody?" a lot of people in Brooklyn seem to think she's the former, so I can't be sure.

Fans of Jason Sudekis dancing need to revisit the Palin rap sketch - his moves as Todd Palin are A++++++

da croupier, Monday, 4 October 2010 18:00 (fifteen years ago)

haha i think meant "ubiquitously awkward" woops

da croupier, Monday, 4 October 2010 18:02 (fifteen years ago)

the latter. dude looks uncomfortable in every skit

the great finnish ball-licking kids (Whiney G. Weingarten), Monday, 4 October 2010 18:03 (fifteen years ago)

as an unabashed wild n out stan, i can stay that taran killam was probably outside the 5 funniest people to regularly appear on the show, so that's prob not a good sign

otoh he hasn't gotten the opportunity to do much in the first two episodes, so i'll give him benefit of the doubt

J0rdan S., Monday, 4 October 2010 18:24 (fifteen years ago)

have we talked about the creepy shit this show is doing this year with the intro/outro celeb photos

I LOVED how much Ernest Borgnine was enjoying the skit.

he's always been a bit of an anti-climb Max (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Monday, 4 October 2010 20:35 (fifteen years ago)

i keep thinking how awesome it is that they can practically get anyone to be in that sketch—actors, musicians, politicians—because it handles their celebrity status as pretty much neutral. Borgnine didn't have to say a line or do anything, just show up and be famous.

Pretty much the absolute win would be if they could get Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to sit in the second seat

the great finnish ball-licking kids (Whiney G. Weingarten), Monday, 4 October 2010 20:40 (fifteen years ago)

When the fuck is the real Lindsey Buckingham going to show up? Or are they waiting for the final WUWT?

Sterling-Kinney (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Monday, 4 October 2010 20:43 (fifteen years ago)

yeah the genius of the sketch is that pretty much any celebrity they bring in and any random 'character' they have come out and dance is gonna be hilarious in that context

J0rdan S., Monday, 4 October 2010 20:44 (fifteen years ago)

xpost, wondering that myself!

the great finnish ball-licking kids (Whiney G. Weingarten), Monday, 4 October 2010 20:45 (fifteen years ago)

also, fuck moynihans' "second hand news," that shit is just emily litella with a long island accent

the great finnish ball-licking kids (Whiney G. Weingarten), Monday, 4 October 2010 20:45 (fifteen years ago)

Or are they waiting for the final WUWT?

There really would be no way to follow the actual Lindsey Buckingham doing the serious-face-to-crack-up "all's forgiven" at the end.

da croupier, Monday, 4 October 2010 20:47 (fifteen years ago)

The calm disgust on Morgan Freeman's face as Bryan Cranston thrust his crotch into his face was amazing to behold.

THE CHOMPING DUCK GETS HIS FATTY OUT FOR VADAR (HI DERE), Monday, 4 October 2010 20:51 (fifteen years ago)

the great finnish ball-licking kids (Whiney G. Weingarten), Tuesday, 5 October 2010 03:34 (fifteen years ago)

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 October 2010 03:46 (fifteen years ago)

No, Hulu showed Anthony Crispino and Cathy.

jaymc, Tuesday, 5 October 2010 03:47 (fifteen years ago)

the great finnish ball-licking kids (Whiney G. Weingarten), Tuesday, 5 October 2010 03:48 (fifteen years ago)

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 October 2010 03:51 (fifteen years ago)
