yeah, miss y&t too. talked to (email) skip and a couple of those guys a little while back in trying to track down a copy of this wicked witch 45 i used to own. made me have nostalgias. as i recall there were seldom cute girls in there. mostly pasty faced cellar dwelling vinyl geeks like myself. spent an afteroon listening to 45s with jello biafra there once, and man can that guy talk.

This is probably silly, but when I was a kid I read in a novel that pneumonia was called consumption. I thought that sounded so romantic, "To be indisposed with consumption." I wanted pneumonia so badly, but instead I never was sick as a child, never had to miss school from being ill. Wild Turkey makes for a rough morning.

I realized just before theoretically going out after work that before work, I left the oven on w/ food inside. That equaled nearly eight hours of high-temperature cooking time (and a defunct fire detector, and my roommate on an international flight). I rushed across town, fearing the worst - especially as I have two cats at home. Thankfully I arrived to find the cats alive and no fire, just some char-black chicken and an awful, awful smell.

The relevant point being: I have poured myself a generous helping of Jameson to calm my nerves. Cripes.
