I was in there a couple of weeks back - I didn't feel like saying anything useful when he asked me, so gave him permission to make up anything he wanted. Then I forgot about it. I was meeting sometime ILXer Andrew L for a drink one lunchtime, when he pulled the mag out, saying "This doesn't sound anything like you." Do we know how many ILXers have been in there? The week I was in, Abby was above me on the page.

Haha, I've been in that section of The Times as well. I used it to plug my own club night. I made The Lex take four different photos of me and they still picked the worst one < /ponce>.

To my knowledge Ken and Marianna have also both been in there, as well as Martin, Barima and Abby. There must be others as well.

I've pretty much had it in the drawer for a few weeks - i don't smoke but it makes me feel hard having ciggies here.

do you have a lighter from HA! HA! Bar too? cos that came with the package. That exact night actually, there was a cute girl at the bus stop with a cigarette, her lighter not working, and thus totally needing a light, and i was like "god i can't believe nobody's offering her a light! God, where are the gentlemen in this town?!? if *i* had one..."

It wasn't until after i got on the bus when i realised this was the one night that i actually had a lighter in my pocket.

Mmm, hotness of Maria duly noted. Also, you have the same striations thing going on with your digital camera that I have going on with mine. My old one, anyway. I like the stripes, and plan to hold a 'stripes exhibition' of all the cool photo-accidents the error has produced in the last couple of months. I've now replaced the camera with a boring one that works normally and takes photos like this:

momus » thanks for the kind words! my camphone is fairly new. it just takes a while adjusting to certain lighting conditions. i think it was trying to balance between the natural light and the incandescent light coming from the other room, when it hit the shutter.

speaking of stripes, i enjoy photographing them a lot. however, there's an artist that does work in this particular vein by the name of jonathan lewis. i saw his work at a show in philadelphia a few years ago. here is some of his work in blind spot #18: http://tinyurl.com/5c5h4
