because they were from the next town over and around the same age

my friend has a tape of a school play she was in w/affleck and she says damon was the cool guy and affleck was his sidekick fwiw

wd be cool if dude was all "APPLES KILLED MY MOTHER NO I FUCKING HATE APPLES CMERE YOU LITTLE PISSANT" and smashes a bottle on the table and chases Damon down the street screaming maniacally waving the broken bottle

tbh i don't really like apples that much so that line would have fallen flat on me

I loved this movie when it came out, have loved it ever since and no-one, not even horseshoe can ruin my love for it.

johnny apple seed was irl a hard cider entrepreneur, he would buy up land cheap in areas people were just starting to move into and plant orchards then when the trees were bearing fruit and the population had increased hed sell the orchards to cider producers

if you plant an apple seed you wont get the same type of apple as the seed came from, youll get a random variety, the vast majority of apple varieties are unpalatable, so if you want apples for eating you need to grow the tree from a cutting, but all apples are good for making hard cider!

Fuck I'll say it, I like GWH and think a lot of the stuff people pick on was done sort of intentionally.

I never said it was the best movie ever made or anything but I enjoyed it enough to watch it several times and part of it really got to me so I'm going to stand by my assertion that it's not terrible. It's OK though - we all don't have to like the same things you know. Also, I fucking love Matt Damon.

Those parts are both great, yeah.

I think my fave part was when, after GWH leaves, Casey slides into shotgun like he's moved up a peg. Just a great look of satisfaction on his face.

But a lot of he scenes with Williams are hamhanded as a man with bacon gloves.

It was an alright movie when you consider the whole thing was basically written around one good scene, that is, the apples scene.
