Was that pic taken on the road we met, RJG? I don't remember you taking a photo.

I should note that this surely definitively settles the 'fake Tuomas' question, yes?

Not if RJG (or Cathy) is Fake Tuomas?

It's a tangled web, Ned.

I vote that John should decide the issue, in the style of Solomon, by ordering someone chopped in half.

it is a mountain, though

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montju%C3%AFc

Actually, it seems it is merely a "hill". I was confused by the "Mont" part of the name, so I thought it was a mountain.

Tuomas, Thursday, 28 June 2007 18:50 (sixteen years ago) link

hmm

Results 1 - 10 of about 80,900 for montjuic mountain. (0.25 seconds)

Results 1 - 10 of about 42,600 for montjuic hill. (0.12 seconds)

does the time difference make a difference?

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:01 (sixteen years ago) link

The obvious answers for me would be John Justen, Fluffy Bear, Sara R-C, naturallaw-dp and subgenius, seeing as they were all either a) in my elementary school/middle school/high school posse, or b) my older brother.

HI DERE, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:09 (sixteen years ago) link

your brother posts to ilx now???

strongohulkington, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:15 (sixteen years ago) link

i'm not sure which is more surreal - the photo or the story itself. clearly this mountain-hill is where WORLD FAP will take place.

gabbneb, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:19 (sixteen years ago) link

He posted to ILM for a while, Jess! Scan the hip-hop threads for one-liners from naturalaw-dp; that's him.

HI DERE, Thursday, 28 June 2007 20:19 (sixteen years ago) link

that was great, when we met tuomas by chance. meeting pete in paris by chance was great too. I wonder if in the next european city we visit we will run into geir hongro.

it looked like a mountain to me.

Cathy, Friday, 29 June 2007 14:40 (sixteen years ago) link

I went up Montjuic when I was in Barcelona a month ago. Didn't see any ilxors though. It's definitely a hill. It also has escalators going up it, but not all the way up.

Grandpont Genie, Friday, 29 June 2007 14:45 (sixteen years ago) link

xpost to Dan - I didn't know your brother posted to ILX either!

And yeah, to answer the question, it would have to be Fluffy Bear, Dan, and John for being Bad Influences in my Formative Years. ;)

It is now me. For all of you. Hello. I predict your hostility and welcome it with stinky ballsack.

dean ge, Saturday, 30 June 2007 03:24 (sixteen years ago) link

^ I predict your hostility

yeah, for good reason.

My favorite part, so far, is about 24 minutes in, when the narrator says,

"At Luke 22:10 when Jesus is asked by his disciples where the next passover will be when he is gone, Jesus replies,

'Behold, when ye entered into the city, there shall a man meet you bearing a pitcher of water...follow him into the house where he entereth in'

This scripture is by far one of the most revealing of all astrological references. The man bearing the pitcher of water is Aquarius, the water bearer, who is always pictured as a man pouring out a pitcher of water. He represents the age after Pisces, and when the son, God's son, leaves the age of Pisces, Jesus, it will enter the age of Aquarius, as Aquarius follows Pisces in the Precession of the Equinoxes. All Jesus is saying is that after the Age of Pisces will come the Age of Aquarius. Now, we have all heard about the end times and the end of the world..."

and so on.

Capital R Retarded.

the ones that influenced me are mostly the ones who were assholes to me. i'm not quite sure what this means.

exception of course is tim f. who seems pretty genuine and totally changed the way i look at music

Were you originally thinking you'd go the full 2 hours

I don't know what my plans were, really. I watched the first 25 minutes and then skipped around to see where it was trying to go. Who knows why I waste my time on things like that. It's kind of like watching the 700 Club just to get outraged.
