didn't know there was any doubt that that's all he can do. he'll probably OD on his medication or have an anxiety attack mid-show.

I say this as a guy who really, really likes him btw.

i'm not saying he's not one-note, just that i'm less sure of that being entirely because of his own limitations than i am with say Cera

fair enough. either way he's about the last person I'd expect to fit in with the style of SNL. interested to see it, though.

are people supposed to a) have seen the pre-fame plays a movie star was in, b) know what kind or roles he did onstage or c) simply respect that he has 'stage actor' experience and that he thus should not be underestimated?

My favorite of these was when Al Sharpton was hosting and Kenan came out as Al Sharpton circa 1980s, with the purple tracksuit and full-on James Brown hair, calling his current incarnation a sellout and accusing him of not even being able to dance anymore - then they had a dance-off. It was great. Not on Hulu, sadly.

I always like it when the celebrity shows up. The one where DeNiro and Pesci show up and threaten Jim Breur and whomever with bats was good.

And the more recent Walken family skit was pretty good, especially Amy Poehler.
