that's a movie i watched like 30 times on cable when i was a kid

and that albert brooks movie too i guess

i know, i am no fun. i didn't realize it was supposed to be funny! as a serious movie, it is super-dumb. maybe i'll give it another try...i'm totally not going to, though.

as long as i'm being an asshole, i might as well say i never thought "how do you like them apples" was that funny, what with the labored "do you like apples?" setup, i mean, who says that?

I got pretty happy about that I gotta say

despite having genuinely never seen damon in anything i thought i didn't like him but i watched the adjustment bureau last week and now i really love him.

this is in spite of the fact that the AB is not that great but it does have a lovely atmosphere and moves beautifully in spite of the poor plotting/plot holes everywhere!

some down the line good will hunting shit right there. i love the cameraman chipping in in the first place!, with that compelling, inducive stat on 10% of all practitioners being bad at their job.

i enjoyed adjustment bureau. roger from mad men is also in it getting up to some science fictional tricks.

the romance is the weirdest & most real thing about it. which is probably the point but if it was they didn't push it far enough.

I love that in order to somehow make a non-point they inject file footage of him from a movie

and, not knowing they were going to do this, he still keeps his cool but burns them just enough with the "shitty cameraman" line

Also, "do you think job insecurity is what makes me work hard?" is the best line

I mean, really, people who go on about job security and joking about how to get it are really the worst people.
