I'm not sure what kind of lawyer Lou is, to be honest, but it seems like every one of them that I know has something to do with patents. That sounds dreadfully dull to me.

Dental hygeine would be worse, though. (Being around the sound of the drill all day... brrrrr. CREEPY!)

Well... there were certainly some moments back then.

More recently I find my father unintentionally hilarious. Like the time he told me he'd disinherit me if I didn't have a second child. My response? "Who do you think you are, Dick Cheney?!"

I have conned Aust1n and my cousin B3th into agreeing to do NaNoWriMo as well. Aust1n's main goal is to write more words than me. I hate it when he wins. (However, now I'm wishing it was Nov. 1 so I could start, but by Nov. 2 or so I'll be wishing it wasn't November...)

btw, if you want to be more formal about the whole NaNoWriMo thing, here's the official website:

The FAQ is helpful anyway. Personally I am going by the broad outlines here: start Nov. 1, end with whatever I have on Nov. 30, go for quantity of words over quality, 50,000 word goal, and at the end we get to go out and celebrate that it is over.

7:30. But if you guys can't make it, no big deal, I will be up there an endless number of times (or so it seems right now). Wednesday nights are really hard since my class is over at 9 and I am desperate for food but it's so late that it is awkward to meet people. You know I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing, but yesterday when I was mad I gave one more chance to some west end girls who were taking every opportunity to divide two by zero. I battled a little jealousy because they were shopping for someone to pay their rent. Lots of "Why don't we live together?" and "I need a lover," calls floating around that were so hard to ignore; it was almost the end of the world. I wanted to tell these young offenders that this wasn't the theater and one and one did not make five but there were too many people; I ended up just being one of the crowd. Oh well, we all feel better in the dark.
