I, too, have said "Ornaldo Bloomps" irl and no one thought it was funny nor were they particularly interested in hearing an explanation of why it might be.

LotR RotK was on UK telly the other week and whilst my wife is by now quite used to me exclusively referring to him as Ornaldo, my muttered "he took down that elephant thing hardcore, damn" at the crucial moment didn't even register with her.
